Hi everyone. I'm Kell, an almost-37-y-o Mum of one (almost 5-y-o son) and expecting baby #2 due 19th October (although I have the feeling this one is impatient and will arrive earlier than that). I've spent most of my adult life being overweight (at best) and obese (at worst) and am determined that after Button is born, I…

Last year I gave up chocolate, so I'll likely do that again...

Do your research before you go. Look at the menu and find the healthiest options on it. Decide what you will have before you go and STICK TO THAT. Lots of places have their menu and nutritional info online now, making it even easier. I was amazed that Pizza Hut has a delicious pizza that's around 400 cals for the whole…

Choose something healthy that takes a while to eat. Make a huge bag of carrot, cucumber and celery sticks and some homemade fresh salsa and you can safely snack on those all day if you want to without overloading on the calories. Make sure you're getting some proteins and, yes, some fats too, as they will make you feel…

Wowza! You look totally AMAZING!!! *applause*

I've had similar comments. I called a guy on it once. I turned around and said, "Yeah, I'm fat, but I've lost weight already and I'm still losing more, so I'll not be this size and shape forever. What's the expiration date on you being a total knob end?" and kept on going. I used my anger at him to fuel me and I had an…

I have several banana recipes on my blog: http://losingitallwithmfp.wordpress.com/2012/07/03/banana-bread/ http://losingitallwithmfp.wordpress.com/2012/06/29/banana-peanut-butter-cupcakes-with-chocolate-on-top/ http://losingitallwithmfp.wordpress.com/2012/06/03/carrot-courgette-banana-and-blueberry-oat-muffins/…

I heartily recommend the book ALAN CARR'S EASY WAY TO QUIT SMOKING. I quit 9 years ago using this book. I went from 40-a-day to zero overnight and had absolutely NO CRAVINGS at all. I'd been smoking at that level for years. I also knew that I would never smoke another cigarette as long as I lived. That has held true - I…

No! It's such a cute pose - love your pic. :)

I've had a few nasty comments too (I made a blog post about it here: http://losingitallwithmfp.wordpress.com/2012/04/20/nasty-comments/) The people who make those comments must have really sad lives if they have to make us feel bad in order to feel better about themselves.

1. Pay off everything. 2. Buy a small house in the country with a large garden where I can grow my own fruit and veg AND have a lovely play area and tree house for my son 3. Have a nice family holiday. Of course, with $1million (which roughly equates to £644600, hubby would still have to work, but I wouldn't - hurrah! We'd…

If you know you're prone to snacking late at night, factor that into your food diary and log it ahead of time. Set that snack aside and ONLY EAT THAT SNACK! That way you get your snack and you stay within your allowances. :)

Me too! I'd love to shed 20lbs by 1st October! :)

@ retriev00 - the pic you use right now is great (although the ones of the puppy are incredibly cute too!). :)

Nope. Why would I get jealous of a fantasy my hubby is never going to meet? He feels similarly and is absolutely fine with me drooling of Jeremy Renner's arms, or Ryan Gosling's tush, or Liev Schreiber's, well, his everything coz he's just gorgeous on every level! If my hubby wants to lust after Abby from NCIS, then that's…

Don't give in to the urge to eat that donut or cake! Instead, if you really do want something cakey, make some healthy muffins - they can still taste great and will be far better for you. I have some great recipes that might fit the bill if you like. I had a delicious banana and blueberry oat muffin with breakfast today -…

You can treat without the cheat. ;) I have no problem in having a little treat of one kind or another, but I'm slowly changing what I see as treats I love baked goods, so I've been developing my own recipes and make the most marvellous muffins that include carrot, courgette, banana, blueberries and oats - they're just the…

Yup. I plateaued for about a month, then dropped 2lbs, and now I've hit another plateau!!! I know exactly why it is though - I've not been able to get to the gym due to a hip injury and that has impacted me significantly, I'm hopeful that once I get back into the gym, the weight will drop off once more.

Definitely. When I came here I just wanted to be within my "healthy weight range" according to my BMI, but now I realise that I may never fall within that range because I've started lifting weights. My weight is going down far more slowly, but I'm still shrinking. I have a body shape/size and fitness/strength goal rather…

I create a recipe in my food diary recipe builder section and add it that way. I cook 99% oif our meals from scratch too. :)

I started at 77lbs to shed. I still have another 45lbs to go. Feel free to add me if you want. :)

@ BeautyFromPai - Difficult to say from your profile pic, so I'll guess early 20s? And your hair is so lovely and shiny - and such a beautiful colour! :)

When I was 15 (I'm 35 now) I demanded a brace because one of my top teeth (my left canine) was slightly out of alignment. I wore that brace for a year and was left with perfectly straight teeth. I'm fortunate that my teeth are particularly white and I don't get much of a tartar build up (I only need yearly checkups and my…

I drink some skimmed milk or a large glass of wine. :)

I had our son 2 days before my 32nd birthday. We're still trying for a second child - I'll be 36 in September.

Hahahahaha! I only have two people on that list. :)

I'm English, but have lived in Scotland for 25 years. I have Germanic roots from just a few generations back and Nordic and Scottish ones from further back.

I'm a total insomniac. The other night I was up all night looking after my poorly little boy - got less than 3 hours of broken shuteye. Al day yesterday I was absolutely exhausted and fighting sleep. I work evenings, so that was especially hard staying awake. I get home just after 10pm and have a relaxing bath. Get ready…
