I want another 10lbs gone by the end of September. Im' aslo going to buy a bathing suit and take my son swimming for the first time this summer (he's 3 1/2 and has never been because I've been so fat I was to oembarrassed, but I have ot get over that and just do it!).

Sheer Cover! It's a moneral powder foundation that comes with a cream concealer and it is awesome! It covers a multitude of sins but doens't make your skin look or feel overloaded. I have super greasy skin to and it's wonderful stuff. :) It also comes in a range of shades that you mix to get the perfect shade for you. If…

My gym is 2 miles away fro mmy home, so I walk both ways and get in a bit of extra cardio. ;)

Honey greek yoghurt with sliced banana, fresh blueberries and mixed seeds sprinkled on top. It tasted so indulgent I almost thought it must come to a thousand calories, but it was only 272. I might even have this as dessert sometimes as it was gorgeous! :)

Scotland is about 50/50 - some make it with water, some with molk. Some like it salty, some like it sweet. Some still have a "porridge drawer" where they make it with water and salt at the start of the week and cut a slice every morning, but that idea REALLY turns my stomach!

I make mine with skimmed milk and just a touch of either sugar or honey to sweeten, and a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon for extra flavour. Then I like to slice banana on top. Using skimmed milk gives it that lovely milky flavour but without adding any fat and only a few calories. I can't stand it made with just water - it's…

I almost exclsively did cardio in the pat and yes, it burns off the fat, but I never toned up so I always stayed a bit "jiggly". This time (which will be the LAST time I ever have to shed a large amount of weight because I'm never getting fat again!) I'm doing cardio AND weights - and I'm working towards lifting heavy. i'm…

As others have already said, you can't "spot reduce" fat from specific areas of your body, but getting in some cardio will reduce your overall body fat, which will mean yo ulose fat from your belly too. You CAN, however, spot-tone. Get in some cardio to reduce your fat and do plenty of abdominal work with weights etc and…

I use a menstrual cup and it's great - no leaks, no problems and more capacity. I also save money because I'm not having ot buy tampons every month - the initial outlay (£10) is all for years before having to buy a new one. :) Bizarrely, I find my cramps aren't nearly so bad since I started using a cup. I don't know if…

@ Brechin89 - You're in the US Army. :)

I hate even walking past a Subway because the stink lingers in the street outside it too - it always turns my stomach. I can't eat anything from that place. My sister once brought me a sandwich from there and it stank - I couldn't take a single bite - had to throw it out! :(

I'm guessing that you'll be exercising as part of your drive to be thinner and healthier, so chances are that once you get to a healthy and trim size, you'll be heavier than that anyway because of muscle. Muscle is more dense than fat so if you have good muscle tone you will be trimmer than a person of the same weight who…

For me, an over-riding factor in my doing cardio is actually a financial one - I do not drive and using public transport all the time costs money, so if it's a walkable distance, I walk. I walk pretty much everywhere - to work (although I get the bus back as it's late at night and not really safe to walk home again at that…

Take it easier and let your body rest and recouperate. Take a short, gentle walk if you feel up to it, but get some rest while you're ill and then slowly pick up the pace when you're feeling better till you get back to normal. That's what i'm having ot do - I was felled by a virus last week and have pretty much had to take…

I managed to drop nearly 25lbs my first 6 weeks nd it made a HUGE difference. Take a good, hard, honest look at what you do at the moment and then loko at how you can improve things, even if only for the 6 weeks. Make them the ULTIMATE 6 weeks where you eat clean, drink loads of water, get in plenty of exercise and stay…

Make sure you do a proper warm up before starting, and a cool down and stretch session when you've finished your work-out - this will minimise the pain you feel afterwards. Of course, you also have to make sure you're not overdoing it during your session - push it, but not too hard. Your muscles should feel tired and…

@ Gurvd - The towel pic - it reveals a sense of humour and you look dead cheeky in it - LOL!

I weigh in daily at the same time every morning in the nude, before I eat or drink anything, but after going ot the loo. I do this because that way I can take note of trends and fluctuations that happen and not panic about them. The way I see it is this: Let's say my weekly weigh in day is Sunday and I weigh in at 198lbs.…

You are looking AWESOME! What a difference! You're doing an amazing job - keep up the great work. :)

I know how hard it can be to net enough calories when you're choosing essentialy healthy foods and making all the "right" choices, especially when you do exercise too. Here are a few tricks I'm learning to use: 1) Use butter instead of margerine. I'm pretty certain it's actually better for you anyway because it's not full…

Me too - my doctors always think I have a fever when I'm perfectly fine. :) Of course, at the moment I have a virus, so my temperature really IS sky high, so I think right now I quite probably AM the hottest person on MFP! ;)

Take them to the park - let them swing and climb and slide and run about. Take a ball and play football or catch. f it's raining, put them all in waterproofs and welly boots and take them puddle jumping. If it's really nasty wehter outside, take them to a soft-play centre where they can climb and jump around to their…

Your basic calories allowance before exercise is very low and doesn't give you much wiggle room. Could be that your body has got used to eating lower amounts of calories and your metabolism has evened out to compensate for that. What do you have your desired weekly weight loss set to? Try rejigging it so that you only have…

Forget about meal replacement shakes - as soon as you start eating proper fod again you'll regain every pound yo ulost. In the long run, they're just not worth it. Just eat healthily and get some exercise - increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, reduce your intake of fatty foods and but out fast/junk food.…

Working on your pecs will help perk them up a bit, but there is no way to increase your breast size other than surgery. Or pregnancy. When I got pregnant, I went from a DD cup to a GG cup. I'm now an F cup (my son is 3 1/2 years old).

Illness can definitely be a factor. My hubby (before we were married) was diagnosed wit han overactive thyroid gland and he got very ill before he would go to get checked out. We still had regular sex, but we definitely had less of it than we had before, simply because he felt tired and ill all the time. I know of some…

There's a quote I really like (Im not sure to whom it is attributed) that goes like this: "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you are right." Believe you can do it and you will do it. :)

That is AWESOME! You just made my day by posting this story. Makes me feel like I can do it too. I'm just about to start week 2 of couch to 5k. :)
