You sound like you have the mindset that you're determined to hate it. You will, if that's how you think of it. Try a ten minute walk, and all the while tell yourself you like it and you're enjoying it. Maybe that won't make it seem so bad. Don't focus on how much you hate it. When I'm taking a spin class and I'm about to…

I read somewhere that in order to avoid side stitches, make sure you exhale as your left foot lands and your right arm comes back. It worked for me and it hardly happens anymore.

A great brand of jeans that I love are Jeanstar jeans...I think they go up to size 18, and they are so comfortable! They aren't very expensive either. I can usually find them at Macy's. Those are my next goal pants...the smallest size I have!

Did day 2 today, wasn't too bad. I could've done more but didn't want to do too much too soon and end up in pain and hating it.

Yep! It's actually my niece's dog. I don't have any pets now :( but i've had three Boston Terriers in the past. I can't wait to have a dog again. I would steal the dog in my pic if I could! He's full grown and is about 10 lbs! Just the cutest thing ever!

It's a necessity! I can't believe how much different, and how much more, I ate withouth it! I don't have a digital one, just a manual one with a little bowl on top, It cost me $12 at bed, Bath & Beyond. No need to spend a small fortune! I'd like to upgrade to a digital one soon though, :)

1. I really, really, really miss my Mommy. 2. I have been to over 80 Bon Jovi concerts over the last 22 years. 3. My bathroom is decorated in a beach theme. 4. My favorite color is red and it's all over my apartment, especially my kitchen! 5. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, and I'm 36! 6.…

I am in the process of compiling my own playlist of high energy songs...My current favorites are I Gotta Feeling by black Eyed Peas (amazing energy in this one, you just can't still!), How Far We've Come by Rob Thomas, and Cup Of Life by Ricky Martin are three I can think of off the top of my head.

Don't think of it as a diet, that's the first thing. Diets are temporary fixes, and once you stop doing it you will probably gain it all back. Think of it as a healthy change, one to keep up with. Pay careful attention to what you eat and how much of it. Portion control is a big key. Plus lots of grains and vegetables with…

I think as long as your body gets plenty time to rest and recover, it should be okay.

You guys just gave me an idea...I live in a huuuuuge apartment complex, most of the 30+ buildings are 3 floors, and the stairs are outside...I get bored by doing the stairmaster at the gym, so maybe I can do the stairs here! Build up slowly, a building or two at a time! I wish I had thought of this sooner!

These are my stats from last week: SW 211 CW 211 GW 181 I am not up for a weigh in right now, but I'll be ready on Thursday! :drinker:
-
Today is my day off in between, so I'll be doing elliptical and maybe stairs today.
-
I am sure either is fine...I do the treadmill.
-
I do! I did it today for the first time. It was tough but I made it through without pausing once. :drinker: It says to do it three days a week with a day of in between, so I am picking Monday, Wednedsay and Fridays.

Wow, you all look great! Carmen, you're an inspiration!

I might have to start trying that!

Weight training will help build muscle and diminish fat (obviously) and muscle burns calories more rapidly that fat does. So therefore the more muscle, the higher your metabolism.

I thought at first that this was just a program made up by the members here, then I did some research and found out that it sounds pretty good! I'm going to try it starting tomorrow! I have recently started running a few minutes here and there, so I am going to give this a whirl!
