I love love love this program - I started a few weeks ago - and it is intense but awesome! You can buy it online, or at Sportcheck (or other sporting good stores). You are going to need: - heart rate monitor (optional, but highly recommended) - weights (probably 8's, 10's, 12's to start) - a pull up bar and possibly…

How are you finding the increase in calories? Still losing that way? My respiratory problems are back!!! H1N1!!!! I'm going to the doctor again today - I can't breathe without a constant stream of ventolin. Actually, last time this happened I was admitted to hospital in London! Glad you like London - and let me know how…

If the money is irrelevant, go for the most expensive. If that extra money could be put somewhere else (I would use the savings, for example, for a new handbag, or outfit, ) then I would go with the most basic one. I have the F6 and it still does far more than I ever want it to do! When working out, I want to know…

Good job! :flowerforyou:

That is a GREAT idea! I think you would need quite a crowd to get the sizes you need, but its a great idea for sure. If I do it, I will share the results! And thanks to everyone for all the tips and advice - great ideas on here! :flowerforyou:

I'm going to check it out! Thanks! I'm at Yonge & Eg visiting friends all the time! :flowerforyou:

JENN!!!! You are in London, On?!?! Did you know I'm in Toronto!?!? I went to Western and lived in a little apartment off Wonderland! I love love love London! :flowerforyou: You WILL get there! Slowly but surely. I've given up on 2lbs a week, so I set my goals to 1.5 and that way I have a little wiggle room. I'm around 150…

Thanks for the tip! I'm in Toronto, so we don't have that, but we do have some second hand stores - I should check them out. One is a second hand boutique "The Stock Exchange", but they only have designer clothes (D&G, Prada, etc) - I can't even afford them second hand! I fell in love with a skirt in there, and it was…

My stomach is not too bad - I keep my weight in my lower body - but thanks. I've been doing P90X for a few weeks now, and I do the ab ripper 3x a week. I did a few hundred crunches before P90X though - it just made my tummy feel better after having my two babies! My starting stats were 40-31-41... 168 lbs @ 5'8" (that is…

Thanks for all the tips and kind words! Congrats to all of you guys for your great success! I could not have done this without MFP and all of your inspirations! :flowerforyou:

Good luck Cindy! I really found the running shoe situation helped - I used to buy the Nike or Adidas runners that were under $100, just to save the money, but then it seemed all my runner friends were recommending that you have to pay for the first tier qulaity (like the higher end Adidas, Nike, New Balance, Asics, and it…

Thanks Jenn, and you are doing great - 17 lbs down is terrific - we're moving in the right direction! You will go all the way - what is your goal weight? I was 216 when I delivered my daughter, so I am just thrilled to making this progress. I tried, and failed, a million diets before MFP. Hope you are feeling better really…

Good advice - you can even further modify if you have to (e.g. during the lawn mowers, I lean my arm on a chair instead of my right knee - as that one has problems). You can also skip the Plyometrics (jump training workout) and substitute other, lower impact cardio.

(1) Yes, modifiy if your knees are bothering you. Also ensure that you have good, supportive running shoes. I personally found that moving to the next class of runners has really helped with any foot or knee problems. (2) Making the Cut and P90X are unrelated programs, however you would be ready for P90X if you've done…

Oh yes! It will read the exact level of HCG in your blood, so it is 100% accurate (there can be false negatives with a home pregnancy test). The level of HCG itself is not a predictor of how far along you are, however the daily increase of that number can give more information on what is going on. See your doctor if you…

I have PCOS and see a specialist at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto. The disease does not cause you to gain weight; weight gain, or obesity specifically, exacerbates the disease, because excess weight causes a further increase in androgen production in women (and PCOS already causes an increase in androgen from the ovaries -…

I agree - go and get the blood test today, and you should have results by tomorrow. Good luck! :flowerforyou:

We know that there is a physical impossiblity that you could gain weight while buring more than you are taking in. Portions might be too large, you might be under reporting on here (or skipping reporting certain bites here and there). Something is off. You might be overestimating calories burned during exercise. You might…

I feel your pain... I've lost a total of almost 70 lbs (from my heaviest in pregnancy) and have gone from a 36F to a 34D, and they have lost some "volume" - but they are still okay - not sure what the last 10 lbs will do it them though! I personally think that if it bothers you, and you can afford it, I would do it!! It…

I've always heard 6 weeks, however, after asking my OBGYN, she said that my ancestors would have had the baby, and then the next day would be working in the fields and lugging water. Like everyone else has said, listen to your body, and your doctor. I felt great within hours of giving birth, and could get up and around…

Yeah - where did everyone else go? Although, I think neither of us are doing Jillian anymore anyway! :flowerforyou: I finish my prescription today, so I am going to start back to my daily workouts on Monday. I will have been off for a full two weeks! I think I have maintained though, and I've been going to bed hungry the…

Oh Jenn! 13 days of sickness! Wow - that must be wearing! I'm on day 12 come to think of it - I have not worked out in 12 days! I've been eating my maintenance calories, or less really, and all is well with my weight (well my measurements, clothes, etc). I can't wait to get back in the swing of things, and tomorrow is my…

You will do it! I started a short 13 weeks ago, and have already lost 20 lbs! I have not looked back for one minute - I've logged everything, and kept honest with myself, and I LOVE my new body, and my new outlook on life! Congrats for making the decision to change! :flowerforyou:

I wake up early in the morning for a run or some cardio (before the kids and hubby), and then do P90X at night. I have to do the cardio on the empty morning stomach, and then I find food from the day really powers my evening P90X. Enjoy the early morning workouts! They will energize you! :flowerforyou:

Oh geez..... am I the only one.... The south bound B:wink:  bs!!! After two kids, and losing weight, they are just not so full and perky anymore! My tummy is not bad at all, but the girls are saggin a bit... :grumble:

Congrats Jenn! That is awesome!!!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: I have not worked out since LAST Saturday (eeeek!!!) because I have a respiratory infection, but I am stressing about these calories! I've been sticking to my calories, but without exercise, it just seems like I'm not doing anything - you know?…

Wow!! Congrats on all that you've already lost, and you will LOVE this site to finish what you've already started! You are an inspiration! :flowerforyou: Betty

Thanks for sharing!!! You look AMAZING!!! Very handsome, and about 10 years younger! You can see real definition in your chest - you must be very proud!

Great post GTO!! It DOES suck when people are not happy with what is right in front of them! I think this is becoming an epidemic in our society. Many of my friends constantly lust after a bigger house, a better car, the newest Marc Jacob's hangbag, blah, blah, blah.... same thing with lusting after other women and men -…
