Good news on the scale! Keep moving forward, and it won't "catch up" to you! I do exercise quite a bit, I just wanted to enter some weight lost so that I did not continue to eat calories for my old weight (it probably went down 50 or 100 calories - not much - but still!). :flowerforyou: Still yet to try level 2, and no…

Thanks jb_sweet! I have entered a loss of 1 lb per week (even though I don't know yet) because it just occurred to me that MFP is giving me calories based on my starting weight! My goal for September 1st is 155, so my fingers are crossed! So did the roast beef do any damage on the scales? I do love my job - it is great all…

Congrats! We can celebrate when we hit our final goals, however I LOVED your post because it was a reminder to celebrate the journey, and what we have lost so far! :flowerforyou:

I do not follow the atkins diet, as it is simply not for me, however this is something I remember reading a decade ago in his book that stuck with me...... (and I paraphrase) On the diet, you eat a seemingly *unbalanced* diet in response to a *imbalance* going on with your body (he used a diagram of two triangles coming…

CONGRATS!!! That is awesome! I have NOT tried level 2 yet :blushing: I keep doing my other routines, and now I'm into this Tracey Anderson stuff, but I am going to try it! This week for sure. I am scared too, but think of how hard Level 1 was the first time (well, it was for me anyway) and then how easy it got by the third…

One thing about the iPhone - I almost bought one last week, but I insisted that I get to try it out for a while, and I could not type very well on it! It has the touch screen, and if you have finger nails, it is really hard to type. I decided then and there it was not for me. I highly recommend going to a shop that has…

Oh yes - I have the Polar - and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Spend the $100 - you won't regret it! It makes we want to work out a couple of times a day just to see how many calories I can burn! :flowerforyou:

I would suggest you do the HIIT using your heart rate percentage instead - 70%, 90%, 60% and back again. Is that what you are doing? The speed of the treadmill is arbitrary to the individual when training, as depending on your fitness level, those treadmill speeds could be >90% HR, or it could be <60%.

Congrats!!! You need to feel good about yourself, and granny panties, imho, are a huge impedement! Even buy yourself some sexy bikini panties for TOM, and then stick with the thong/sexy stuff the rest of the time! Good for you! :flowerforyou: Btw... do you guys all see the before and after advert pic (right above here)…

You are HILARIOUS - I would definitely do the one about hanging them from the trailer hitch of a souped up truck!!! Hee hee.... :flowerforyou:

Kelly - that's awesome about the thigh muscle! I LOVE the Shred for that very reason! Betty :flowerforyou:

My understanding is the same as the other ladies - once you reduce your body fat, it will also reduce. I believe your fat distribution is genetically programmed - I have a small waist but lots of junk in the trunk - just my natural shape! :flowerforyou:
-
Kelly - congrats on the 5 days of Shredding btw! :flowerforyou: How are we doing ladies??? So I just tried the Tracey Anderson cardio dance - what is up with that!!! WOW!!!!! Sweating was literally channelling off my nose! I took dance lessons for 9 years - 3 times a week for the later years, yet I find the routines so…

Hey Jen, 11 lbs lost and 3.5 iches from your hips is AMAZING!! Congrats, and keep it up. As you know, I tossed the scale, but as long as I am pushing forward, I am good! I will however update my weight Sept 1st so as to not throw off the calories (it is based on weight and height, right)? Yes, I work from home (part time)…

Hey JB - I'm still following the MFP plan, but I am on vacation! I am going to start level 2 on Saturday as I have to go for a run tomorrow morning. Is level 2 really that much harder than level 1? Wish me luck! I've been doing Level 1 with running and other workouts for 5 weeks now - and I'm down some weight (although I…

I LOVE this!!! I too became obsessed. I am now at week 5, and have been without a scale since my third week's weigh in. Hubby hid it. I'm 5 weeks in, and my measurements are dropping, and my clothes are fitting better. I use the Victoria's Secret size chart to chart my measurements, and I have lost more than a full dress…

Hope you're knees are feeling better! How is everyone doing? I am off on vacation again this week, we leave tonight, so I'm taking my lap top, DVD, and weights! :flowerforyou:

WOW!! That is great! I had a very good friend in University who was born in Japan, and she was a wiz, and we tried making it once - mine tasted good, but the visual appeal was lacking! Let's just say it is an art!!

I also do sushi at least once or twice a week, and I DO eat a little white rice! Even 4 rolls with rice would have less than 1/4 cup cooked rice. To me, the brown is just too heavy, and too nutty in flavour for the other delicate flavours that are going on. I find it to be light tasting, and light in my tummy, and the…

SHOES! Any chance you need new shoes? They only last about 800 km (or 500 miles) of running, walking, etc. If you were to workout daily, for an hour, that would be only 4-5 months. Could your running shoes be 4 or 5 months old? If your shoes are no longer supportive, and absorbing the shock, it could cause joint pain for…

Oh dear - sorry to hear this - definitely take a break until your knee feels better. I had foot pain for a few days, but I worked through it. Your knees are delicate - I wouldn't push them! Is it the lunges that are causing trouble? Can you cut that out? ....good luck and hope you are feeling better soon..... :flowerforyou:

You look GREAT!!! You can see a clear difference in the side shots - check out your bust, upper arm, upper abdominal area, and lower ab area, and of course your bottom! All look significantly smaller! Congrats! :flowerforyou:

Enjoy your vacation! Are you coming to Canada? Take care of that sunburn! Betty :flowerforyou:

I like the recommendations of doing some research, but I thought I would add this.... I recently read that marathon runners actually have more health/joint problems then people who follow moderate exercise regimens. Think of your body as machinery - while you want to keep it in tip top shape, you don't want to over work…

Oh Kandy - I LOVE that! You should try it. I keep all that stuff in my fridge, so that I always have a healthy snack to throw together. How are you doing btw? :flowerforyou:

Okay, so other than the scale, do you actually feel like you did before you lost the weight? OR, do you feel fitter, lighter, and have more energy? I have been at this for 3 weeks, really killing myself with exercise and strength training, and while I've only lost 3 lbs, I feel like I've accomplished more than that. This…

small whole wheat wrap (90 cals) two slices tandoori chicken breast (60 cals) romaine lettuce (5 cals) red peppers (5 cals) red onion (5 cals) fat free ranch dressing (25) There is 190 calories! I have this for a snack very often or two for lunch. Sounds like an interesting diet - easy way to keep to around 1400 calories,…

I'm still doing it Fitgal!!! I am on holidays, and back and forth from a cottage, and vacationing, but I am hanging in! I took a few days off because my neck was sore (tisk, tisk, I know, bad form) and my abs were literally killing from the routine! I am hanging in though! Did you find the new post? :flowerforyou:

Where's Misty? And MrsKelly? Others? :flowerforyou:
