I agree with that entirely, there's no way I would deviate from that safe approach to weight loss Exante do claim though that they guarantee by following their program that you will receive all the RDA of vitamins, nutrients and nutrients - it's a bold claim! If their claim is correct then I guess your hair won't fall out…

I don't. The only complex part is the TDEE measurement. It's really just a guess - it's hard to gauge how calories you are burning throughout your daily activities

When my sister in law goes shopping she will park outside the shop, spend a few hours casually browsing the clothes rails, standing still on the escalator whilst it takes her to the different levels, browsing some more When my wife goes shopping she will walk to the shops, up and down the high street quickly in and out of…

You can have the best of both worlds There's a woman at our gym who can't keep away from the muscle guys there (certainly not me I might add!). She works out and flirts with them every time I see her. She obviously thinks she looks at her best though in short skirts and high heels because every now and again she will come…

Is any food bad for you?

That's an impressive first week! I had a great first week too mind - 132 miles is a lot for me. I can't get above an average of 18mph though so that's certainly a goal for me. New roadbike on the cards too I think
-
Yes I'm currently getting shock treatment for Plantar fasciitis - it's working well Cycling is brilliant exercise - I can burn near on 1000 calories a day on the bike with no ill effects felt on my poor feet. I've found that very rigid cycle shoes help immensely, I've started wearing them on the stationary bike at the gym…

Ok your TDEE is: 1904 One pound is approx.: 3500 calories To gain a pound a week you need to eat every day: 1904 + 500 So 2404 per day will see you gain a pound a week - but obviously that won't be a pound of muscle This is providing you have calculated your TDEE pretty accurately, and you don't do any further exercise on…

Yes but as soon as you judge a person's ability to train you on their appearance, you are possibly doing yourself a massive injustice How about this guy? Would you let him train you if you had the opportunity? This chubster has trained 50 world champions including Oscar De La Hoya How about This out of shape guy has shaped…

4 x 20 mile rides and 2 x 15 mile rides so far in June That's 112 miles. Target is 500
-
That's good advice thanks - to be honest though, my prime goal at the moment is to lower my bodyfat. At maybe 15-16% right now and I'd like to get it to nearer 12% I'm prepared to lose a bit of strength/muscle in the process so would you say a slight calorie deficit is the way to go, or try to lower my BF by increasing…

Yes this is completely true My wife and I gain weight and lose it again in almost perfect symmetry. Of course you are responsible for what you eat and how much you exercise, the OP is just saying that environment will be a factor.
-
Yes, and with most husbands, you could pretty much substitute 'lift weight's' for any verb you can think of
-
I can totally see where the OP is coming from to be honest. My wife and I got married 9 years ago - lovely honeymoon photos, nice and slim and fit Romantically, we returned to the exact same place a year later and we were chubby and out of shape - age 41 Fortunately we have done something about it and now we are back…

I'm yet to hear from anyone, anywhere that can give me reason why I should have at least 8 glasses of water a day. I have one or two sometimes, other liquids as well. Drink when I'm thirsty. Makes not a scrap of difference to me
-
I just finished a squats and deadlift session. HATE IT SO MUCH! Maybe I'm doing it wrong? Hideous pain, hard work, sweat dripping off me, arms ache, hands are sore, legs burning of course. Hips are sore too. Horrendous! The girls in the Zumba class all seem to be enjoying themselves, I'd do that instead if I didn't look…

Sugar Ray Leonard getting fitness advice from the same chubby out of shape guy that Ali got his fitness advice from
-
It's a good job you're not a professional athlete - they almost always take fitness advice from someone less fit than they are Makes you wonder why Mayweather, Djokovic, Usain Bolt etc even have coaches; what on earth can they learn from people not as good as they are???
-
If something is a piece of the total picture then it has a place in the total picture As soon as you start to add other indicators like BF, the BMI is redundant If you have your weight, your body fat, and your height - what does BMI add to that? Nothing You either use BMI on it's own - in which case it's vague, inaccurate,…

It works now that I am packing in loads of exercise. Previously in order that I hit my protein, I was so restricted that I still couldn't eat the things I wanted. Now though, it's great, not difficult to hit your macros when eating nearly 3000 calories!
-
I think you should lose weight for the medical benefits as well as so you feel more comfortable doing cosplay
-
Now hold on just a minute! I was the older guy in the sweat stained sweatpants, not you! Maybe you were the guy hitting on the girl who was leaving
-
You should come here for motivation but I don't think you should come here for motivation with the story you told in your OP Going on a diet because you wanted a haircut? That's possibly the most bizarre reason I have ever come across?
-
I'm still not buying that I'm 155 lbs, 15% body fat, 25,5 BMI I'm not fat, my doctor says I'm not fat, I don't look fat The BMI charts say I am though???
-
Wouldn't the 2nd best time to plant the tree be 19 years ago?
-
And where are the charts to find out if you're an average person? I thought I was but I'm classified as overweight according to BMI
-
I met my wife when I was 34 We are both 49 now, as fit and slim as we have ever been. The last 15 years have been the best of my life and we are both looking forward to the next 15 years. We are learning a new language, at college also learning photography, at the gym looking to get fitter and stronger. I'd also love to…

So tell us.... How are you so familiar with how Ron Jeremy looks?
-
That if you do a lot of exercise, you can eat LOADS of calories, and still be on a deficit! I'm just trying to maintain now but I'm up to 2500 calories today and STILL on a 500 calorie deficit!
-
Good advice I'll add another variable to your list too - amount of water contained in the food you eat
