  • I'm in! Just started riding on Father's day. I am really liking it. Awesome form of exercise. I've missed two days riding due to the weather (riding in the rain is bad enough, but a lightning storm is a whole different ball game) 7/1 - 9.09 miles 7/2 - 8.48 miles 7/3 - 5.95 miles 7/4 - 0.00 miles 7/5 - 5.96 miles 7/6 -…
  • Just started riding on Father's day. Have only missed two days riding since then. Some days it is a quick ride after work with my son for a half hour or so. The weekends put me up at about an hour to an hour and a half. The average is about 9 miles per day. I have covered a little over 160 miles in the past 3 weeks. I…
  • I'll let you know.....started riding this week. I started on Father's day with the intent of changing my exercise routine and one that would have me outdoors. I go out for an hour each evening and depending on the road (hills) I pedal off anywhere from 5 to 10 miles in that hour. I started with a goal of 25 miles a week…
  • The Nike running app can do that for you.

  • .I have only missed a few days over the last ~390 days and that was for kidney stones. I do cardio 7 days a week. I remember someone telling me that was not good for me :)

  • You sir, have done a fantastic job. Congratulations.
  • I am 46 and am training to be more fit than I have ever been in my life. I started this journey at 45 with the Wii fit exercise routines. Did Insanity, doing 30 day shred now and may train to do a 5k sometime in the future. (it never dawned on me that Jon BonJovi was 51....I guess I can make myself look younger by doing…
  • I have been working on a healthier lifestyle for almost 13 months now. Within that time period I have hit two plateaus. Both times I have eaten more for 7 days and changed the exercise routine. When I say "eaten more" I mean that I changed my pound and a half per week weight loss back to maintain and moved my cardio into…

  • I really like it. A plethora of tone possibilities.
  • I played years ago. Play at home all of the time and occasionally sit in with local musicians for jam sessions. Here is a recording of me playing to a backing track. I was still trying to figure out Guitar Rig. Excuse the bad notes, it was a single take. http://snd.sc/Z72xVx
  • I play guitar. Been obsessed with learning to play like Stevie Ray Vaughan for the last 6 months. It's an uphill battle as I had never really appreciated his music till about a year ago. Now I listen to it constantly. Current stable of instruments are: PRS McCarty Fender Strat Gibson Les Paul Studio Martin D35 Breedlove…

  • I had the same thing happen to me. I was never able to do it before and now I do it all of the time....just because I can. Congratulations!

  • When I don't have the calories to expend I use the Shiritaki noodles in place of the rice.
  • Mmmmm, veggie stir fry with a teaspoon of coconut oil, about a tablespoon of stir fry sauce, over a cup of brown rice. It's do bomb!
  • Christmas goal met 3 days early!!!!!

  • Thank you all for your kind words.
  • I had hoped to at least inspire one....hoping there are more. I came in here as a newbie on March 1st and read a lot of stories. There was one that truly inspired me and I am thankful he had written his story the day that he did.
  • My Doctor is thoroughly impressed and has told me that I have surpassed his expectations 10 fold. I have blood work scheduled next week to see how all of those numbers are fairing as well. I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic before starting down this path, so I am looking forward to some really good results.
  • No recipes. I just love mixing it up and eating it on a banana. I like the chocolate PB2 this way the best.
  • I started out bigger than you. For us big guys the weight will just pour off at the very beginning. Change the foods you are eating...no fast food, no junk food...eat clean and healthy. Stay on track with what MFP says for calorie loss and you will anil the 200's by months end. Get some cardio worked into your day. Start…
  • Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood a couple of years ago at the Wachovia Center or Wells Fargo Center. I can't remember what it was called then....anyway, it was in Philly. My all time favorite musician and I got to see him with VIP tickets. It was awesome.
  • Band of Brothers - Stephen Ambrose or any of his other books. But that one was my favorite. Dan Brown's novels are all a good and easy read. If you like music you can get the biographies of your favorite stars....I loved Clapton's biography.
