  • I lost 18 lbs and 16 inches by the end of Phase 2 of this diet. It helps if you're trying to move to cleaner eating. The initial quick weight loss is encouraging if you're just starting out. After that, I would suggest moving to more of a lifestyle change where you learn to appropriately modify your diet and exercise to…

  • Finished the Supreme 90 Day program.
  • Yayyy!!! Another chance at victory. I'm not sick this week, so there's no excuse.
  • I wish today had been the weigh in day. I dropped another pound from yesterday's weigh in. I'm only .2 lbs from lowest weight ever on MFP. I hope this is the beginning of a weight loss trend and not just a teaser. It's almost TOM, so I will be working hard not to retain a lot of water.
  • Did Day 1 of Level 2 on Monday. It is easier than Level 1 to me. I finally dropped the "swollen muscle" weight from Level 1, so maybe I can get the scale moving down again.
  • I don't have a preference. Since you have a Kroger, I buy the Kroger Natural Creamy. It only has 2 ingredients. I stopped buying the regular creamy in their brand because it has fully hydrogenated oils and sugar. The Natural tastes very good and simple. I eat a spoon of it when I need to get in some quick calories.
  • I didn't make it. Only about 2800 this week. Tried to make up for 3 days off due to illness, but I didn't. I can burn about 800-900 a day without feeling too bad, but that's about it. But my Monday was such a low calorie burn it was like really taking 4 days off. Oh well
  • I only shop there if I have an emergency need at an odd hour when everything else is closed. I shop at a combination of stores to get what I need, but I plan the trips and it is second nature. I shop at Trader Joe's once a week. I fill in the other needs from our local Kroger or Publix. I even slowed down on shopping at a…
  • I don't comment on diaries that I can't see. If I can see the diary, I sometimes point out healthy choices that were made. If I know that the person wants honest feedback, I may offer more specific feedback. What another person logs has no bearing on my weight loss. I personally like feedback on my diary, especially if…
  • Starting Level 2 tonight. I'm anxious since I didn't sneak a peek at it first as I usually do when doing a rotation.
  • All the yoga-bashing is interesting. There are various types of yoga and some do have a decent burn in addition to increasing flexibility. My core yoga training burns about the same calories as some of my interval training sessions.
  • I've been ill most of this week, so exercise went out the window with my good eating habits. I've done emotional eating and slacked off on drinking my water. Who knows what Sunday's check-in will hold for me? Kind of discouraged as I wanted to lose 10 lbs by my birthday, but I cannot do that in a healthy manner in the…
  • I have been making the following smoothie recently: 1 mango cubed, frozen 1/2 med banana, frozen 1 cup almond milk (vanilla, unsweetened) 1/2 cup raw spinach, chopped 1/2 cup non-fat plain yogurt It ends up being about 231 cals and is a very satisfying breakfast option. It is delicious. The only thing that hints to the…
  • Just completed Day 9 of Level 1. I doubled up and did Day 8 and 9 together since I haven't worked out since Sunday due to illness. Ready to move to Level 2.....I think. I don't like plank rotations with weights though. So I hope that is kept to a minimum.
  • I don't know if I'll make it. I was sick and only worked out a little on Monday and none of Tuesday and Wednesday. 3000 more calories to burn in 3 days. I don't do Zumba or Insanity so I don't know if I'll make it. That would be about 5 sessions of TaeBo Insane Abs. HELP!!!!!!
  • You have to create a deficit from your total caloric expenditure. Your BMR is only your caloric expenditure assuming NO physical activity outside of the automatic bodily functions such as breathing. If you wake up and go to the bathroom, you've expended more energy than your BMR. A good step would be to estimate your TDEE…
  • I unfortunately didn't take my beginning measurements. I'm just going by a combination of NSV's. I've dropped 2 pant sizes even though I've only lost 3 lbs according to the scales. I couldn't do a full pushup when I started. I can now do them as well as the plyo pushups. It eliminated my muffin top and saddle bags. I find…
  • After each meal for me for the most part. If I eat a lot of meat, then sometimes not because it takes longer to digest. Trader Joe's Green Plant Juice or Knudsen's Mega Green juice works like a charm for me. Not sure if it's the broccoli and spinach in the juice or the spirulina/chlorella, but it works almost as well as…

  • Longhorn's Caramel Apple Goldrush - 1600+ calories of reckless abandon. They bring it with 2 or 3 spoons as a hint and I laugh at them and send the extra spoons back. It is used to be the PB and James burger but they closed the restaurant. It was a bacon double cheeseburger with PB and J. Delicious. They also had one…
  • I just bought some over the ear ones (Philips brand) from Sears. I had the same problem. Once I warmed up and started to sweat, my earphones would fall out. These stay on pretty well.
  • Thanks for the advice. I think I'll take a rest day or two. I am feeling progressively worse. The sockets of my eyes even hurt...lol!!!
  • I have 4 more days of S90 left. It can be done. I love the system. I started out not even being able to do a full pushup and falling off the ball so many times on Ultimate Ball. And I hated the burpees and plank rotations. I can now do all of those moves fairly easily. This is a solid program if you stick with it.
  • Shoes unless I'm doing yoga. I need the traction and support. I've had some scary slips when I'm moving really fast on my carpet. Plus I started having issues with my achilles tendon when i was doing any type of plyometric moves without sneakers. I wasn't landing solid with jump lunges and that almost took me out of…
  • I finished Day 7 yesterday. I'm also finishing up S90 (4 of 90 days left). I felt sick today so I haven't done either. After my first week of 30 DS, I gained 1.5 lbs and lost 1 inch between my waist, hips and thighs. I really think the weight gain is water weight because it came on overnight and I'm just starting to feel…
  • Oddly, I do pretty well at work if I keep my stress levels balanced. I've started walking on my breaks instead of sitting at the desk and it has helped to reduce idle time and my stress, hence my cravings have decreased as well.
  • Think about why you're doing this and what motivated you to start. Any lifestyle change you attach to something you truly value will stick eventually with effort and persistence. When you "stumble", get back up and do better the next day. Don't just stop. If you consumed too many sodas today, aim for less soda tomorrow and…
  • I don't consider them cheat days. I look at them as rest days just like with exercise. I keep it pretty tame during the week and on weekends I loosen the reins. I try to have a sensible low-calorie but nutrient dense breakfast and then I allow myself whatever foods I chose for lunch and dinner. For example, I'll go to Red…
  • Stay encouraged. I've only lost about 3 lbs from my initial weigh-in here on MFP 3 months ago. However, I'm down 2 pant sizes and can see muscle definition where I never saw it before. Track your measurements as well as weight. Try to stay consistent with whatever you do long enough for your body to respond and show…
  • I'm in. I did about 3200 this past week. I'd have to get about 400 more in. TaeBo would easily take care of that difference.
  • Gained 1.5 since last week's weigh-in. I started 30 DS last week, so I'm pretty sure it's water weight from DOMS, but I still don't like to move backward on the weigh-ins. Oh well. I think I need to stick with resting the 2 days before the weigh-in. I lost an inch overall since last Sunday though, so I will stay the course.
