  • Yoga is good for this, because it does help strengthen muscles (in addition to helping with balance and flexibility), and it sounds like that's what you need. At least, it seems to have helped me. I do Ashtanga Yoga, but it's kind of intense, and I think Hatha Yoga would probably work too. I might take longer though. Idk…
  • Catwoman Batman and Robin (Soooo bad but soooo fun) No third because I haven't seen a lot of bad movies.
  • I think I never make these because I get too anal about arrows and fonts and such. Thanks for the reminder about the vastus muscles and that back muscle I keep forgetting the name of! (The lower one. Not Latissimus.)
  • Trying to air out my room, feeling sad about slow weight loss.
  • I think 2 and 4 look best on you, but I love the shoes in 3. Idk where to wear them, though. Dinner and a show sounds like it's on the money, but I think a party or party type atmosphere (if you don't go for dinner and a show that often)would be good. 4 looks more formal than 2, imo.
  • I can relate. I thought "uugh" when looking at my reflection even at my lower weights. These days, I just try not to think about it so much. Or I admire my butt. I have a weirdly compliant butt, so if I workout it looks/feels better. Perhaps you can find some part of your body that improves quickly with exercise and focus…
  • Yes. But it generally doesn't matter. (I workout at home nowadays) Anyway, washing clothes after every use is a seriously waste of water Imho. Water I could be using for 30 min. showers! Lol jk my (daily) showers aren't that long. Anyhow, my sweat doesn't smell that bad unless I skip deodorant. There's a lot of it, but it…
  • I actually have no idea. It varies some with my hormone levels, I've noticed. Yesterday (Sat.) I slept 8 hours, but I had previously been awake since 12pm the previous Friday. I think 5-6? I don't sleep every night (or always at night) so really idk. My sleep is generally uninterrupted though.
  • I can't help with the tummy (whatever muscle tone I have there is covered in fat) but I can help (some) with the butt. Short bridges/ butt bridges help me with that area. Lunges are supposed to work glutes some, but idk because I don't feel it. The other exercises Kristen mentioned should help too.
  • >even a baby will be in constant "starvation mode" because let's be realistic here, no way on earth do they eat close to 1000 calories... according to most people here they should be dead! It would have to be a pretty big baby. In any case, babies eat a lot, given their weight. >Adaptation to lower caloric needs has been…
  • For you, yes. Exercise is good for you and will probably make you feel better. I don't know why you would want to though. Another poster said it sounds like strep, and now that I think about it, it kind of does. If I had the beginnings of strep, I'd stay in bed, gargle cayenne pepper, and sleep. Colds are my favorite…
  • No, you are not the only virgin here. As for the comments about it being a 'disease,' I've noticed that sort of thing lot on the internet when people who aren't virgins talk about people who are. It's not limited to Mfp. In my opinion, being single is pretty neat. Other people can be a hassle even sans intimacy.
  • I highly doubt Beyonce ever did that "diet." More likely she just works out for 4 hours every day so she can eat what she pleases. Pop stars have that kind of time. Also, I'd be careful about calling people "dummy." The craziest diet I've heard of is going gluten free, or doing Paleo. I have no doubt these work, but damn,…
  • Yes. I wish I was 5'-7" or above. Being short blows.
  • No, I really AM a two-dimensional headphone wearing cat who perpetually browses the internet! Really. Also, This^^^
  • Don't mind me, I am just here to post relevant xkcd comics. >:3 http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/impostor.png
  • But they will lift them a little bit, and tone pectoralis major, which can help appearance-wise. It's up to you OP. I think it would probably help to wait a bit if you're planning to lose more weight. See how you look then. In the mean time, I think chest exercises would probably be helpful. After all, you can get decent…
  • I have occasionally snooped, but I figure that doesn't bother the people who have theirs open. I'm thin skinned though, so mine is closed. I don't think anyone I know would criticize, but why take the chance?
  • This is the best possible response.
  • BMR: 1527 Cal goal without exercise: 1200 I am nearly over and it's not even brunch yet. Actually scratch that. I am over, as of now. I have been RAVENOUS all morning. But I was 143 under yesterday so whatev.
  • Why I haven't the faintest idea. But I kid. It's aesthetics. (partially) Some people just think it looks better. I personally, would love a gap. All of my jeans wear straight through in THE worst possible way. I am very tired of buying new pants. Chub rub is no fun. At all.
  • When Mfp lumps all my cardio in one status update. Hello? I log ashtanga separate from my other stuff because I'm trying to impress my friends list, duh.
  • I wouldn't know about the fat either, but I have to echo the posters saying you might need more water. I find that drinking lots of water helps a lot my skin out A LOT During TOM.
  • Calm down there, Haruhi. In response to OP, I think the issue is more with the word used than anything else. "Friend" is clearly not the right word for the kind of relationship most people in this thread are talking about. I don't think "friend" should be the word used in any of these online dealings. It's loaded…
  • Millennium Actress. Twas a re-watch. (Huh...internet machine insists that t'was is not a word, but twas is. Okay.)
  • No, Moe! couldn't help myself.
  • I don't lift much anymore (no gym membership) but I think I used to do 3 sets of 12 with a 25 or 30 pound weight for biceps curls. I think my leg machines were all in the 100-90 range at 4 or 5 sets of 16. Memory's fuzzy though... That was ages ago.
  • This^ I try not to ignore any advice I do get though. Even if it's unsolicited, I don't want to assume it's not useful.
  • Dat neckline. The blue for sure, unless... No. Definitely the blue.
