I would assume not counting could only work for people who have reached goal & have well established routines (ie: exercise). I see that you have achieved some weight loss & would hate for you to backslide (which I find hard not doing even when counting). My opinion - Too early for you to stop counting :) If you're…

Hi, I agree that MFP estimates re: calories burned seems very high. I always re-calculate. I'm sure others can explain how they reach these estimates :) I've never bothered to try & work it out, I just know it's too high for what I've burned but it's no trouble to change it. Good luck with your fitness journey!

Hi, I've been at a plateau for 6 months also but i only blame myself! There's not that commitment to attend the gym, walk or push that little extra bit. Also, been having a few cheat meals on the weekends (instead of the usual "one"). So I only blame myself. I know what I have to do! Good luck all

Looks like there is lots of advice rolling in. I vote for "that's too low". Regardless of your starting weight, you still have to fuel your body & brain on a daily basis. I can't imagine trying to function, work, exercise and generally live life while staying under 900 calories. I mean WHY? Eat well and get some exercise.…

Hi everyone! I'm Cheryl from the Interior of BC, Canada. I'm 55 yrs old, 5;8" and have been on MFP for apx 1 year. I've always been 'a little heavy' but thought everything was going ok. Then there was a diet contest at work. I thought "no, I can't lose weight" (I've never dieted) but when sign-up day came I thought "who…

Welcome! This site has been my saviour! I've never really dieted before (one stint @ Weight Watcher's in my early 30's, I'm now 55 yrs) so I just thought I was doomed to "be this way". Then there was a 'diet contest' at work and I thought "oh no, I'm not going to be one of those yo-yo diet people!". But when the lady came…

God Bless the Honda! I just parked my 1992 Honda Accord with 363,000 km! Still running & I haven't given it up yet. Bought a new Honda but I really, truly miss the '92. GO much FUN to drive & very reliable. Had to replace the tranny a few years back but that's it other than brakes. Enjoy your car!
