Hello, All, Well, this thread has been about done to death, so of course I'm going to add my 2 cents! The last couple of nights I've just been dragging! The tiredness hits me at work, and just doesn't go away. And the dinners I've been eating at work (I don't get a lot of time, but I work 3-8 PM, so I need to eat during…

Thanks all for the input! I know what I'm planning for the next few weeks, but beyond that, no clue. Good thing it's a few weeks away, right :-) So anyway, I appreciate the input. Information is a good thing! Peace, Tom

Wow, a lot of great discussion here. Doing a lot of processing. Eric, I read your post about the bulletproof coffee, and can't wait to try it. My morning meal is currently my largest meal of the day (2 slices of bacon, a 3-egg omelette cooked in coconut oil with cheddar cheese and 2 tb of salsa (or onion and bell pepper,…

My challenge this week is simply to stick with induction through next Monday (I started this Monday), and stay below my 20 net carbs. If I do that, I think the weight will take care of itself. I was really dragging last night, so I'm not going to exercise today (nor, probably tomorrow), but I'll try, if nothing else, to do…

That sounds really yummy, Kyanca! I've used only coconut oil in my cooking since I was on Atkins last, but haven't started getting creative with it. I'll have to try that! Tom

Just wanted to follow up. I got some Kentone Test strips at the store today, and just tested. I'm not feeling headachy anymore, and I'm officially in ketosis. The strip turned a nice dark pottery brown color, corresponding to "40" on the side of the box. Sorry if that's TMI!. Tom

I once heard of Dr. Atkins saying that his plan was "low carb, with an appropriate amount of protein and fat." It seems that if you eat real food, and keep the carbs down, you won't need to worry about the fat content, or what to shoot for. It will take care of itself. Just a thought :-) Tom
