I think I forgot to sign up for April, but I'm in again, I hope I'll manage to do 60 miles this time. I've done 11 up to now: Edit: For a ticker, go to www.lilyslim.com or www.tickerfactory.com, setup your ticker, and then copy the code here.

Interesting! I understand what the problem is and in such extreme cases with very small planes and very obese passengers it does make sense. But there are also other solutions - on top of my head I can immediately think of 2: (i) increase the average estimated weight per passenger to something more realistic, (ii) set a…

I'm in for 150 km again

Final March post for me as well: I was so close! I would have reached my goal if I hadn't got sick on Sunday and stayed in bed all day, but oh well... April is here!
-
March's over - got past the 50 mile mark but didn't make it for 60... Maybe in April!
-
Not sure if I can make it but I'll try my best

I was traveling for a week or so and could hardly do anything, so now I'm trying to catch up. There are only 3 days left, but I think I will make it
-
This week I'm on travel and won't be doing much but up to now I've done 104.9 km total (60.5 walking/jogging + 44.4 biking)

The weirdest for me is probably fish sperm sacs in Japan. They look like brain a bit, but are slippery and squishy and quite weird in texture. I've also had sheep brain, tongue & intestines, pig ears & feet, fried goat testicles, but these are not weird where I come from.

Ahhh, I haven't had Greek yogurt for so long! My favorite ways to eat it are not so healthy and diet-friendly but so so yummy - in a pita stuffed with gyros, french fries and onions - with kebab and lots of paprika and tomato sauce, perhaps some pita as well - with stuffed grape leaves (dolmades) or stuffed…

Feel free to add me as well! I also got a puppy a few months ago, and even though I adore her, it did take me several weeks to adjust!

I'm in as well, the challenge went great last month! This time I'll aim for 150km, including biking besides walking/jogging. Here's my new ticker
-
I reached my goal today! 101.3 km in total for February (and there's still an extra day)! Yay! Congrats to everyone! [the ticker doesn't accept values greater than goal]
-
I'm in again! The challenge went very well for the past two months, so I'll aim for 60 miles this time! Here's my new ticker

Good advice here - bumping to read later! I have the same problem, my gym has dumbbells only (and a smith machine) and there is no other gym available in a reasonable distance.

Oh wow, I'm a theoretical physicist too! Not a professor yet - I have an independent/senior researcher position at the moment - but working towards it!

Update as of Thursday evening: 81.7km / 50.77 miles done

Just reached 50 miles today, 50.77 miles to be exact! Yay!

Ahh, sorry, I didn't have time to look carefully but thought to post just in case.

I sympathize, I also have a hard time staying on track while travelling. I'm also going to a conference in the US next month, so this time I plan to fill my hotel room fridge with healthy snacks to take with me every day. There are no free buffets / coffee breaks in my conference (it's a big one) so that helps. I have…
