I've done this workout several times before, this time around I'm on Week 4. I do it 5 days in a row, take the weekends off, and skip the recovery day (I've never gotten much from the Recovery vid, but that's just me). Next week is Recovery Week; I going to substitute the Core Cardio-Something vid with Max Interval Sports…

This SHOULD be a popular article. The messages are: Don't count calories, eat 6 times a day, and my personal favorite: This is great! I don't have to work up a sweat anymore, I can just do the laundry! My advice is a derivative of No. 3: Instead of "don't eat anything out of a box", ... change that to ... "don't eat…

.... or, instead of micro-managing carbs, insulin, eating times, etc, you can count your calories and burn more than you take in. When I first started fishing, I just assumed that the successful pro fishermen were doing something complicated, magical, and special. Years later, when I was fishing professionally, I realized…

Water. Or if you want to feel like you're drinking something "useful," grab a bottle of the low calorie Gatorade. I don't want to step on any toes (probably will, and somebody will likely post some "research" that shows that these supplements make your hair thicker, give you more self-esteem, increase your salary, and…

Here's my opinion, and I have no idea why I'm even posting this. I'm not going to post any vanity pics of body parts or find any research to validate my comments, so don't ask. You want pics from me? I'll show you some pics of fish I caught this weekend. To the OP, good job on making your workouts a habit. Looks and sounds…

Its good stuff and you will be surprised with the results if you're keeping up with what you're eating. Just don't be alarmed if you gain weight the first few weeks. I've done it a couple of times (Insanity) and I gained about 5 pounds during the first 2 weeks. But by the end of the program, I had met all of my goals.

I like doing reverse refrigerator pushaways to target my abs, along with some cardio.

I like doing reverse kitchen pushaways to target my abs. Just kidding, just burn fat and get leaner, your mid-section will take care of itself.
-
I prefer to be ripped and cut, who wants to be lean? Or sometimes I'm in the mood to be lean and ripped. Or just cut. Depends on the day.

Whatever "that look" is, there's absolutely no chance you'll get it. Resistance training, while losing fat, will give you "the look" you're looking for (pun intended).

If you do Insanity from now until April 20th, a 5K will be surprisingly easy. Running at a constant pace for 30 minutes will seem like a day off. to the OP: I did this program last year, ate well while I did it. Lost 15 lbs (only wanted to lose 7-8 lbs, but once I started to see my abs I got more motivated to eat well).…

I'd get a new doctor. Last night, I ate 6 slices of pizza (350 calories each) before 6 PM.

Substitute "banging my forehead into a wall" for the phrase "doing squats". To paraphase with the new wording: My doctor says I should stop until the bruise on my forehead heals, but I really, really, really don't want to stop banging my forehead into a wall. In the case above, you would no doubt listen to your doctor.…

I never liked "The Clapper." If you've made it to the Recovery Week, you'll see who I'm talking about. Then during the 2nd month, the Clapper will drive you crazy as she has perfect form and she will destroy you if you try to keep up with her. My favorite was the dude up front that would quit working out when the camera…

I'm rocking the footlong black forest ham on wheat with pepper jack and chipotle sauce for dinner tonight. I'm guessing its 850 calories with those options. My daughter has softball practice tonight, so I'm looking forward to my weekly guilty pleasure. Maybe after tomorrow's workout, I can get some nachos with pulled pork…

Started Week 8 today. Today was the Max Interval Training vid, and it was the first time I could complete an Insanity vid without taking a break. A great feeling watching the folks in the video falling out, and I was able to keep going. That said, I'm wrecked this afternoon. About the weight loss. I lost no weight during…

Halfway through Week 7 of Insanity, only 2 1/2 weeks to go. Haven't lost any weight, but I have dropped my body fat percentage 3%.
