I notice about a pounds worth of gain after I go and weight lift, but it's just the fluid inside my muscle tissue during the repair process. After a day or two it's like it was never there.

I have fibromyaliga and a bad back, I use my foam roller all the time to work out tight spots. I second what hendix7 said, it does nothing for DOMS, but it really can give me some relief. Don't get me wrong though, when you find a spot you need it, it hurts!

Startingstrength.com Order the book and watch the DVDs. This is a great way to learn the forms. Proper form is the best way to prevent you from hurting yourself. See if you can also find someone who knows what they are doing to watch you and correct your form.

Make sure to ask your doc these questions, advice from strangers are the internet can be a good guideline but nothing beats solid info from a real doc!

RICE Rest Ice Compress Elevate Please don't keep doing things on your knee until you see a doctor there are many things in your knee and the surrounding areas you could have torn. Putting off a doctor visit could make this worse.
