Tell folks you are tracking sodium for your blood pressure. I started MFP to track my sodium and stayed to drop some pounds. No one gave me a hard time after I said it was for sodium. It makes folks shut up because they think you'll have a stroke!

F7 Polar is easy, comfortable, durable and accurate. I used it right out the box. You can get a Polar on the cheap at TJMaxx or Marshall's if you have one. Mine was a gift.

I'm at $200 for a family of 5. I make most things from scratch including ketchup, bread, chips etc. My husband, son and Mother in Law are vegetarians so I'm normally in the produce isle shopping seasonally.

Sweet potatoes need only a light misting of oil, like the kind you would get from a Misto or Pam. If you add too much oil they will steam since they have alot of moisture.

Make sure your meals and snacks are balanced. If you are missing protein or fiber in your meal you can get hungry fast. Also, check your water and make sure you are getting enough for the fiber to make you feel full.

I steam veggies, add a 1/2 tsp of Best life butter and Mrs. Dash. Mrs. Dash has tons of flavors but I'm into Garlic & Herb and Southwest Chipotle right now and they are all salt-free. I use frozen veggies and only steam until they are cooked but still crunchy so I don't get rid of the nutrients.

I have the same problem. When I'm eating the same thing that my family is eating I always use either a kids plate or a salad plate instead of the regular dinner plate. I'll also chew a stick of mint gum while cooking so I'm not taking too many bites.

You can get flax seed in the flour section of Wal-Mart. If you buy it already ground store it in the fridge. I love it in oatmeal and as a topping for my son's cereals. He used to suffer from constipation before we started adding the flax a few years ago. I also add it to pumpkin and banana breads.

Enter "breastfeeding" under food in your food diary. Or you can do a search for "breastfeeding" under food. MFP has several options. I believe it might be under exercise as well but I always used it under food.
