  • The system is giving you 1700 calories a day so you have some wiggle room to eat under your calories on alternate days. Before you try pills try some natural boosting: Change up your workouts to alternate between two different types of cardio. Add more time to your cardio days or more cardio days to your week. Keep the…
  • Make sure you are keeping your head above your heart when your heart rate is up high. Try not to hold your breath during difficult moves. It was a good idea to take a break. Hopefully you will figure out the problem soon. Good luck!
  • Work small amounts of the foods you binge on into your diet so you know you get to have it and won't dwell on it as much. You may also try low fat or homemade versions that allow you to have your high calorie foods more often. If you eat out of boredom try keeping low calorie snacks on hand like popcorn or grapes. Drink…
  • Now you will probably be extra diligent about measuring so that's a good thing. Cheer up!
  • I buy the weight watchers and smart ones desserts and only have them if I am under my calories for 3 days then I budget them in. I love to bake so I make low calorie banana, zucchini or cinnamon bread and pretend it's a slice of cake. I also make chocolate chip cookies for my family and keep them in the freezer. You have…
  • You are not crazy. Weight loss isn't just about looking better, it's about feeling better and being healthier. It's about moving better, breathing better and sleeping better. I lost weight before both of my kids. It's harder to push a stroller or chase a toddler pregnant. My son was 2 when I was pregnant with my daughter…
  • Congratulations on the baby! Treat the extra breastfeeding calories like exercise and eat them back. I didn't do cardio after I had my kids, just weight training because I was already burning so many calories with breast feeding. I always gained weight after I stopped nursing and would have to adjust my calories back. I…
  • Keep at it. Be proud that you stuck to your calories. Your body may know what you're up to and trying to hang on to the extra pounds. Don't worry, it'll eventually give in and the weight will come off. In the meantime, watch your salt intake, verify the height in MFP has is correct, don't forget little nibbles of food or…
  • Put the oats back, the fiber was keeping you full. When I have oatmeal mixed with a banana I am not hungry for 4 hours. When I have an egg beaters omelet with sauteed mushrooms and onion topped with salsa I am starving 2 hours later. Same amount of calories.
  • I eat back most of my exercise calories and have consistently lost 2lbs a week. When I wasn't eating back my calories I was only losing 1lb a week. It's probably different for everyone. I normally drink water but I'll drink a low sodium v-8 to get some of those calories back. A 200 calorie fitness bar (special K, slimfast,…
  • I looked at your meal plan. For a male you are not getting enough calories. Unless you are very short. You may gain a pound or two the first week you put the calories back but then you should lose. If you are not hungry, go for higher calorie meals and snacks instead of adding more meals. Maybe you can swap the sliced…
  • That sounds delicious and easy. My two favorite things.
  • Cool! Thanks for forwarding. List below. Cinnamon cayenne black pepper mustard seed ginger
  • If it's soreness and not pain, push through.
  • You may not be getting all your vitamins now that your diet has changed. Make sure you are "eating the rainbow" by eating every color of food daily. My daughter and I eat meat but my husband and son are vegetarians. It is difficult cooking for both. You may get a lot of mileage out of making pizza's, pasta and veggie…
  • I bought a couple of bags to take camping and no one would eat them because it wasn't worth it to have to hear the noise of the bag. The bags felt really strange. I recycle and live in a green-organic home, but I could never bring myself to buy those chips again.
  • You are in my prayers. I will make sure to lift up your son's name in my prayer group tonight. Hang tough!
  • Legolas - he lives longer!
  • Thanks! I saw a chicken corn soup that sounds tasty. I am watching my sodium more than my calories so this is a big help.
  • Watch your portions. I have a family of 4 and used to struggle keeping down costs of healthy food. Being married to a semi-vegetarian doesn't help. My grocery bill hovers around $35-$40 a week. Buy different bags of frozen veggies and steam to add as sides, keeping them on rotation. Peas, carrots, corn, broccoli, and green…
  • Thanks so much! My husband and son are vegetarians so I am always looking for meals and snacks. I have a collection of go-to recipes but I wold love to mix it up a little. Thanks again!
  • I see the difference! You are busty like me so you won't really see the change as much in pictures as other folks. Start doing your 'before' pictures in a tight fitting shirt or a one-piece. You will see the difference right away. Keep up the good work, you should be proud!
  • I've unlocked mine so you can get some ideas. I normally go over in snacks because I eat after my kids when I shouldn't. Other than that, my three meals a day and two snacks are normally around 1200. Hope you get some ideas.
  • Do you mean you've lost 7lbs this week? If so, you may need to add the recommended snacks to your diet. I know what you mean about temptation. I still cook all my favorite foods for my family because my husband and kids aren't on a diet. Normally, snacking on carrots or grapes helps me to get the munchies out. Downing a…
  • Circuit training should help. If you can use wrist weights while on the treadmill on alternate days that may help as well. When you hit your goal weight, the muscle is what helps you keep the weight off and still eat a normal diet. It also gives your body the shape and definition you're probably looking for.
  • I have knee issues as well. When breaking a plateau I either increasing intensity (in my case hand weights while cardio), increasing the duration or adding another workout day for a few weeks. You can also try boosting where you eat under 200 calories for two days and add those 400 calories to the third day.
  • Huge difference! Stick with whatever you are doing, you're getting great results!
  • I put the beans in then add the liquid while blending to get the the right consistency. Sometimes I need it thick if I know I am using most of the batch for for wraps.
