I always exercise at lunch time, the only exercise I do in the evening is yoga and I don't do it every night. It was my day off the gym today also and I still can't sleep. It's 1am right now and I'm sitting in the middle of my lounge floor, in the pitch black with my iPad, desperately googling every possible thing that…

I'd say either your losing muscle mass or you've peed a lot.... :D
-
I understand that, I just mean that how is it possible that there is that much of a difference between the two! Is one of them fiercely inaccurate and if so, which?

I was loading up the leg press at the gym with 250kgs. A man came up and said "Thats alot of weight, its nice of you to load up for your partner..." I just smiled and said "No, actually this is my warm up weight" and continued on to do 4 amazing sets of 10 right in front of him. :D

If you eat late often I would change the names of your meals to times of day 1am-6am, 6am-11am, 11am-4pm etc etc

The best way to lose weight is to exercise before breakfast because you're burning fat for fuel instead of the food you've just consumed. You won't deplete your body by doing this you'll burn fat for energy and then replenish the energy store by eating breakfast after. You can exercise after breakfast but in doing so all…

I worked out the calories from my heart rate monitor and then added it to MFP so I can log it as what it is. The 3 rounds non-stop usually burn around 390 cal for me

I live in New Zealand and people just DON'T east peanut butter here, you put it on toast in the morning and that's pretty much it (apart from the odd person) I feel bad even eating it on toast

Welcome to the world of being envied...... Have a look an see what 'type' of women are staring at you. I get it a lot also, and I honestly don't want to sound up myself but it's mostly either skinny/pretty girls that are threatened by me or bigger girls that want to be the same size. Don't get offended, although it is…

Haha swanky.. Yeah it's the new gym in the Auckland domain. It's great I love it! Just wanted to know if there was any members on here that wanted an occasional training partner. I've heard rumors there's a new les mills opening up on grafting. Anyone know if that's true!

My HRM tells me I burn way more the MFP does when I log my workouts. I figure if I'm burning more than it says I am, that's got to be a good thing? Sometimes if I've done a supe intense workout and I want all the cals burned logged I just up the time on MFP until I get roughly the same amount of cals burnt as my HRM says.

Interval training has always worked for me to get out of a plateau rut. Start with 1min of walking, 1 min of a reasonable pace run and do that for 30mins, see how you go. There are tons of ways you can interval train. Google it and choose your favs!

Kiwi here! In howick Auckland. Love love love MFP. Really helpful :)

So tasty.... Soooo high in carbs. A lot higher than rice or pasta. It's a shame though, I love a good quinoa salad with tomato and basil :)

This can happen when you get stuck in a rut because in your mind you start having negative thoughts about not seeing results. You can plateau for many reasons, either your workouts need to change, not necessarily get harder, they just need to be different because your body has now gotten used to doing the exercises you…

Have a look on eBay for a pair of body fat calipers and do a little bit of research on measuring body fat %. The typical sites you measure with calipers are tricep, belly button, hip and thigh. And there are many formulas that you can use to calculate body fat % using those measurements rather than normal measurements.…

I asked the forums about something similar a few days ago and the best things people were telling me is to just find other ways to answer their queries or remarks without saying your trying to "lose weight" as such. Like if someone mentions the word 'diet' or 'lose weight' just say "oh I'm not on a diet, I'm just aiming…

I've only been using MFP for not even a week but WTH, I'll list things I can do now since I started going to the gym and seriously training/being healthy - I can bench press 3 sets of 10 with more than my own body weight. - I can do 3 sets of 7 full pull ups - I can feel my hip bones when I'm standing with my hands on my…

I hate taking pills, sometimes i gag and they get stuck which is extremely annoying but i find it ALOT easier swallowing them with milk. Thats all the advice i have though unfortunately other than maybe find a multi-vitamin that only involves the 1 pill??

In that case i better start exercising more!!!

Thanks! I think i will have to start altering my answer in order to stop getting stupid respones. :) Maybe just for a laugh, i'll just start telling people im in the secret service and for the good of the nation i have to be skinny. (Just because i know most of you are in the USA, New Zealand doesnt have a secret service…

5'3" and my goal is 105lb, (just for the record I had to google convert that from kgs so people would know what I was on about :P) However my ultimate goal is 12% body fat regardless of the weight.

Welcome, Hopefully you will find the support you need on MFP. As crazy as it sounds it can be a good thing to be emotional about your weight. Personally I use my emotion about my weight as motivation and drive towards my goals. Just keep focused and remember the only person that can alter you, is you. Good luck xx Message…
