lol, HIIT is absolutely miserable (when done properly), no idea why so many people recommend such a CNS taxing and brutal activity for losing weight when your recovery is already compromised due to the calorie deficit.
-
There are no "weight gaining foods", only weight gaining diets. Everything on that list is fine to eat as long as you're in a calorie deficit.
-
Serious? 30 lbs is over 15% of your bodyweight of course it will make a difference, although I will tell you that 99% of people who cut down for the first time vastly underestimate just how low they need to go to get truly lean. Just continue dropping weight then reassess when you get to 160.
-
No, why would I? A calorie deficit is all that's required for weight loss and carbs are delicious, low carb diets make me feel like trash. Meal timing also has negligible to zero impact on fat loss.
-
Switching up macro percentages will do nothing if it isn't in a calorie deficit, op is eating too much, that is the problem.
-
You have no idea what you're talking about, literally everything you've posted here is wrong.
-
I don't understand the question, if you're in a 1000 cal deficit and you ate an extra 600 calories, you'll still be in a 400 cal deficit that day how can that ruin your cutting phase? also if you're at a 1000 cal deficit then you're eating 1200 a day? that's too low, don't go below 1500
-
How tall are you op? Idk your height or gender but honestly at 300+ lbs you could eat a comfortable 1800-2000 calories a day and lose pretty quick and easily, this will allow you to get a solid breakfast, lunch and dinner with one or two snacks and will be much more sustainable than that 800-1200 calorie nonsense diet your…

You're skinnyfat because you don't lift, carb intake has nothing to do with it, keto has zero fat loss benefits over a diet that includes carbs made up of the same calories
-
"if you're hungry drink some water, sometimes people confuse thirst for hunger". This actually happens to people? Pretty sure I can tell the damn difference between thirst and hunger.
-
Yes because undereating and creating too big a deficit you originally planned for is the goal here right? smh
-
Yeah, I've never believed that formula for a second either yet I see it referenced all the time, it was just bugging my ocd brain.
-
a protein shake is not "dinner", it's not even a meal
-
900 calorie intake lost 19 lbs of fat gained 15 lbs of muscle 5 weeks seems legit
-
Likely not, how much does your fitbit saying you burn? Eat 500 less than whatever that is.
-
This is confusing me, they say 1 mile is ~2000 steps, so if you took 12,000 steps during the day (6 miles) and that was the only exercise you did and the rest of the time you lay on the couch or at a desk this would have you at "active". But then if you look at the "calories burned while walking" formula from runners world…

Drink to thirst and start lifting
-
Water weight.
-
You must lift even in a deficit, if you don't you'll lose muscle.
-
Protein is a minimum not maximum, so you cannot go "over" on it. Ideally you want protein at 0.8 grams per lb goal weight, fat is 0.4 gram per lb goal weight, once you hit these minimums you can fill whatever calories you have left with any combination of c/p/f you want. Edit: 1500 calories is extremely low for a male of…

peanut butter by a country mile
-
The whole love affair the fitness industry seems to have with HIIT drives me nuts.
-
painful and unnecessary
-
"Eat more fat, it satiates you", no it bloody doesn't, at least for me. I get my fat (and protein) requirements but after that everything else is going straight to carbs. Fat is calorically dense as hell just weigh out a tablespoon of peanut butter yet it does absolutely nothing to fill me up. Adding sticks of butter and…
-
That sounds way off
-
Just make sure you get at least 0.8 protein per lb of goal weight and do heavy lifting 2-3 x per week and muscle loss should be minimal
-
It is considerably more than 200-300 actually

Every time I see a thread titled "can't eat enough calories, please help". Are you *kitten* kidding me? The sole reason you're on here is because you managed to eat more than enough for an extended period of time to get fat in the first place, makes me rage.
