  • I'm annoyed now that people think being veg is so hard. It's not hard at.all. in my opinion. and there is no such thing as being protein deficient unless you are starving to death (which is actually being calorie-deficient) REPEAT, THERE IS NO MEDICAL TERM FOR BEING PROTEIN-DEFICIENT!! Kwashiorkor and Marasmus don't exist…
  • Hey! I'm in MN too and striving to go raw! I love Ecopolitan- if i could eat there everyday, i'd have NO problem being raw 100%!~ the food there is amazing. I'll add you
  • I agree with this. I was on Zoloft and Wellbutrin for 8 yrs. The meds covered up my real issues, increased my adrenal imbalance and I feel it really messed with my neurotransmitters in my brain as a long-term effect. If you are feeling suicidal, meds may be necessary, but otherwise, it's worth looking into natural methods.…
  • Hmmm... I wonder if this would work with gluten-free flour? must try!

  • oh geez. this really gives vegans a bad name. i'm in it for peace, love, equality for all beings. not to put down others. i'm a vegan because i enjoy helping others, including animals to have a better life. my reason for being vegan is because i don't think anyone deserves to die for another's pleasure. survival is another…
  • Love living this way ... no regrets! Join our Happy Herbivores group for helpful info! :flowerforyou:
  • Great article! I'm glad some more real studies are coming out from people doing this long-term! It's exciting how easy it is to drop our risks of disease by such a dramatic amount! I do want to live a long time, but the quality of life during is what really matters. Getting colon cancer or something from eating meat is not…

  • Well, If you've never tried a fresh green juice, you'll never know how good it makes you feel. To each their own. :drinker:
  • All joking aside, there are many benefits to a juice fast, including: balanced pH and blood sugar levels, a cleansed and regulated colon, weight loss (fat, not water), diminished toxin load, strengthened immune system, increased mental clarity, heavy metals cleansing, increased liver function capacity, loss of cravings for…
  • You are my inspiration! Love ya woman! :flowerforyou:
  • ^^^THIS! Being vegan really is easy and fun even to try new recipes and be the change you wish to see in the world! I avoid gluten and soy 'meat' replacements most of the time because I have bad reactions, but it helped with transitioning at first. Yet I STILL have a huge variety of food to eat! Just think - our closest…
  • Hell, even vegans can build mega-muscle! www.veganbodybuilding.com nom: http://veganproteins.com/vegan-brothers-in-iron/giacomo-marchese.html :flowerforyou:
  • Yes! Or Shaun Morgan from Seether. Whenever he does a Nirvana cover song, it feels like I'm at a Nirvana concert. I love Paul, but no. Dave Grohl is in love with him and has clouded judgement. I would go though, for satire's sake.
  • THIS^^^. Although in the U.S., almost all conventional candy is poisoned by Monsanto- made with either high-fructose Monsanto’s GMO corn syrup or Monsanto’s GMO sugar, and Monsanto’s GMOs are not something any child should be eating. http://foodfreedomgroup.com/2012/10/25/monsantos-halloween-gmo-tricks-and-treats/
  • Sounds just like my experience with it many years ago. I lost weight, but I was working out like mad and my metabolism was a lot better back then. Now I just look at the ingredient list and shake my head. WAYYYYY too many chemicals and artificial crap in it. I'm sad that I turned my mother-in-law onto Slimfast, because…
  • They obviously haven't seen Freelee or the other healthy peeps on 30bananasaday.com ... and they eat 2,000-5,000 calories worth of fruit a day while losing weight.
  • You can check out my diary if you want. I dabble in mostly raw vegan.
  • I highly recommend the documentary 'Tapped'. It's on Netflix. Here's the trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=72MCumz5lq4. It's about the damage done by BPA in plastic bottles and how tap water is more thoroughly tested than bottled water. Also about how our obsession with bottled water is causing major damage to the…
  • Eating more meat or dairy won't help. It will bog you down with saturated fat and use up all your energy for digestion. Best thing I found for me is eating LOTS of fruit and veggies- raw is best. And I take methyl B12 and D supplements. Good luck! :flowerforyou:
  • I'm sooooo freaking excited!! "Raspers, the mutated former patients who lurk in the woods outside the institution." Like, WTF???!! This is going to be good....
  • That's funny, cause Woody Harrelson is a vegan now and healthier than ever :)
  • The 'everything in moderation' bunch really crack me up. Would you eat your friend's arm in moderation, your dog's stomach, a cat's leg? Meat is meat. Why discriminate? If it's tasty, we are meant to eat it! js.
  • Vegan for almost a year. Mostly raw and 70% fruit as of a month ago. I have more energy than ever and feel amazing! I went vegan because I could never shoot or slaughter another sentient being, so why would I hire someone else to do it for me (i.e. what you do when you buy it at the grocery store). Plus eating something…
