also, as long as you eat your "maintenance level" of calories you won't gain. so if you eat maintenance AND exercise, you will still have a deficit. And then you can go from there to figure out your ideal levels of calories and exercise that you can be consistent with.

I have a similar issue.....I keep my goal at 2lbs per week, also 1200 calories a day. I try to keep it to 1200 calories, and eat some of my exercise calories back from cardio exercises (about 1/2). At 1200 cals i figure if i do go over, I don't stress too much because the cushion is there. If you find it hard to stick to…
