I've lost 55 pounds so far and my breasts have barely shrunk (were a little over a DD when I was at my HW, now they're solid DD) and they actually look better- I'm starting worry that in the last stretch of weight loss they'll deflate rather quickly. I've always said I'm going to get a breast lift eventually after I have…

I think that's fantastic your son was looking at the nutrition information! I heard a piece on NPR's 'Splendid Table' and there was a guy on there that discussed involving children in their making healthy food choices rather than making the choices for them and one of the things they'd do is let the kids loose in the…

I think it depends on whether or not you're going to learn to eat healthily once you loose the weight and integrate back to a regular diet. I've seen my dad do dozens upon dozens of those types of diets, including Medifast, and he always regains the weight rather quickly, but I work with a girl who did Medifast and lost…

This is a really good point. There are a lot of 'diseases' or medical issues that are self induced (lung cancer, skin cancer, diabetes, runners knee, tendonitis, etc.) I don't see why obesity should be excluded. All the UK residents comments make me laugh, though. I've been to England recently and I saw significantly more…

I clean the same way and I don't log it. I will sometimes skip a workout to clean and I still don't log it, but I don't feel bad about missing the workout.

I totally agree with this ^ As a narcissist, though, I'm always wondering if I'm settling. I think as long as you have a healthy relationship and you enjoy being around each other, it's worth sticking around. It may be that I've only had very similar relationships, but it seems like they all feel pretty much the same once…

Rinse them in 3 parts water, 1 part vinegar (and then another clear rinse) and make sure you make a scrubbing motion with your hand, don't just run it through the water. Organic doesn't really mean healthier, but that argument is overdone around here.

Absolutely! I think it's kind of insane that women feel bound by society to make their breasts appear perkier (younger), thus skewing the perception of the natural female form. A study recently showed that women who went braless for a year had more lifted breasts at the end, the theory is that bras actually make the…

Great advice, I tried it and I can definitely feel the burn! Thanks!

I've been on and off a slue of anxiety and bipolar meds my whole life and I agree with the other poster, nothing has been more effective in improving my mental heath than exercise and eating right. I wouldn't say I would never get back on meds again, there may be a time I'll need them (and I'm hyper aware of my…

It was about 15 for me. I think everyone's right, nobody wants to offend someone by commenting too early or if they're not sure you're actually loosing. I haven't had any comments since about 30 pounds lost, so I'm thinking it looks less dramatic now.

Have you thought about what you ate in lieu of carbs when you felt better? Like more veggies? Perhaps it was the increase in whatever else you were eating that helped with the inflammation as well. I find that the more greens I eat, the less pain I'm in. Just food for thought.

I'd wear headphones or write an anonymous complaint. I've found whenever gym employees talk to me too much they just want me to hire them as a trainer and once they ask and I tell them I'm not interested they leave me alone, but if he hasn't even broached that with you then he might be just a creep.

I eat between 1200 and 1500 and exercise daily for 1 to 2 hours (more on the weekend if I'm surfing or hiking.) It works great for me, I never feel hungry, but I don't lift (yet.) Once I get to my goal weight and start upping my strength training I'll probably eat around 1500 consistently. I've been loosing consistently…

I feel that way today too. I'm planning on sticking to my planned meals and exercise today and if I still feel like poo tomorrow I'll take a break and do what I want. Normally that resets me.

Yikes, your story gave me goosebumps. I wouldn't get a dog as long as you're living with him. If he cannot treat his wife well I can't imagine how he'll treat a innocent dog. You do not want your child developing these same issues. My rule of thumb in life (and I have very few rules I live by) is never trust someone who…

I eat a lot of salads for lunch too. Sometimes I'll make a nice big protein smoothie in the morning and bring a bunch of snacks and spread them out throughout the day every two hours instead of eating lunch- almonds, fruit, leftover roasted veg, eggs, etc.

I don't know which is more accurate as far as between MFP and the cardio machine, but the way I do it is take what the machine says and what MFP says, use the lowest number and drop it by a third and then I eat back no more than 1/2 that number.

Awesome job! I wish I had figured out how to eat properly and get exercise in when I was your age. I lost a lot of weight back then, but it was pretty much by starving myself so it all came back in my 20's. Great work, you look fantastic! =)

I use a lot of recipes from skinnytaste.com when I'm cooking for the family or larger groups. They're always a hit and pack tons of veggies into every recipe. I made the buffalo turkey burgers last weekend and even the picky eaters at the table gobbled them up.…

I log everything, but same as someone said above with stuff like veggies (mostly green ones, not tomatoes or onions) I'm loose on the portion size and just estimate. Anything calorie dense I weigh and log.
-
Haha, I loooove pre-logging treats. It really gives me incentive to make sure I get a good workout in beforehand.
-
I'd give it to someone else. I like to save my treats for something I really want, not just something that was placed in front of me. But if you really want it, eat it and work it into your calories for the day. You can't blame anyone for 'sabotaging' you, only you can do that to yourself.

Whenever you want, go for it girlfriend!

Men have hormonal cycles similar to women, but they aren't necessarily consistently month long cycles. Their hormones cycle throughout the day, the year, and their lifetime and the cycle duration can vary from man to man. Or something like that, it's been a while since I've read anything about it.

I love working out and I love eating, so I would say eating properly is the biggest challenge for me. The key for me sticking to exercise is do what I like and make it consistent, once it's firmly in my daily routine it's hard to go without it.
-
Honestly, you probably feel too full because you purged yesterday and have been eating too little lately. No, it's not too much at all.
-
I eat the same thing day after day too, that's why I like to look at other's diaries. I also tend forget good things I ate weeks on end a while back, so sometimes I just go back and look through my diary from months ago. Thanks! =)
-
I love reading people's diaries to get meal ideas, not to judge anyone. I don't lock mine just because I don't care if anyone sees it and it keeps me honest and on track. I think hiding what you eat is kind of unhealthy, though, but that's just my opinion. I know when I'm overeating I will sneak snacks out of view of the…
