I'm in too. 157 this morning, a 2.5 pound gain over Christmas and New Years, not bad:) See ya next Monday.

I don't like to workout after I eat so I eat after. I might grab some nuts or a banana on the way to the gym but breakfast when I get home.

It can help you measure calories burned and intensity of workout. Not required but after a while you start to want t know a bit more about how hard you are working. You can do the same workout with very different results, depends on how much you are putting into it.

It sounds like it could be tension type headaches. If you wake with them it may be related to your pillow height. Try to have a fairly straight line between your neck and back when you sleep and this puts less tension on your neck muscles.

I do think that you can "bank" some calories. Don't make a habit of it though, it soon becomes always in the negative.

I am glad you have made a start. We know that weight loss can really help your health and just make you feel better so great job. I think that you should lose weight gradually because what you are really trying to do is teach yourself better lifetime eating habits. You may be able to lose weight fast for about six months but if you quit eating healthy you will gain it all back. The key to sustained weight loss is lifetime, lifestyle change.

You are doing great. The thing about exercise is that the more you do the more you can, and want to, do. You keep adding to the intensity until you are burning hundreds of calories a session. When I started I could not have ran on the treadmill for ten minutes at 5 mph now I run 40 minutes at 6 mph regularly. Keep walking…

It is a great workout but not much cardio. Be sure to follow a diet because you don't burn enough calories with the workouts alone. They are aimed more at building muscle and toning than at weight loss.

Any of the Biggest Loser, Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper DVDs will give you a good workout. They have quite a few and they are all pretty hard work.

How do you normally figure out your calorie burn? It is really about how hard you are working and your heart rate. For that many calories you would have needed to be working pretty hard for the whole time. I burn that much running for 40 minutes. But again, all about how hard your heart is working.
