I don't see any reason to go back if you don't think it will give you any more information than you already have. Congratulations on maintaining and not gaining even though it was a "bummer" exercise and food wise! Sounds like if you just tidy up the few areas you already know about the loss will start again.

sometimes mine changes. If I can get the lower number to show up 2-3 times I use the lower number. Doesn't really matter as I'll get there eventually anyway even if the lower number is wrong the first time.

"On the website, go to My Home, then Check-In. Then go to Edit Previous Entries. If you're not seeing your original weight, scroll down and Add a previous entry for your start weight. Your ticker should now show the difference. " yes I had to add in a new start weight too dated wayyy back at the beginning because in 2012…

Thank you! I read that and was like "wha?!? what about fiber? that can't be true of fiber" so you saved me having to look it up. I have this friend where we'd discuss facts and she'd be like "I don't feel that is true" and it used to infuriate me because I'd be like "it's a fact! it is true! your feelings on it are…

you ate more than 10,000 calories over the weekend?
-
Ok that's what I thought, that the "more than expected" loss should just be the first week. I'm not worried about the loss stopping, I'm just trying to get my tracking down properly and I know the beginning is not a good indicator of typical loss over time but wasn't sure if the "beginning" would just be the first week. So…

I thought tripe was tummy not intestine? I guess tummy is still part of the poop pipe but not so much as intestine is.

pretty sure laughing at that gave me a hernia. Ouch.

^^ This. And also This to the person who said you should not fast for 24 hours. Figure out why you want to be at an "underweight" level and if it's just because you think you need to be there in order to look how you want to look investigate ways to gain muscle (which from what I have read gaining muscle ALWAYS involves…

I would agree you don't need a "high calorie day" if you are eating at 1800 a day (or ever, really). You might try setting your loss goal to something less aggressive for a bit though. What are you set at now- 2 lb per week? I know that is perfectly fine for your size but try maybe .5 or 1 lb loss goals for a week or 2 and…

You can do it!!! As others have said, acknowledging the problem is the first step. Good for you for looking for things you can change sooner rather than when you need to lose 100 lbs. Again, you can do it!!! If all of these other people can do it, you can do it too.

I find it very hard to believe that MFP would have your calories at 1200 WITH your old level of activity entered in. It sounds like maybe you have it set to 2lb per week loss. If you set it to .5 per week loss what does it give you? You can burn calories walking just fine, it just takes a while. You can do 3 20 minute…

Apparently except when it comes to how one boots people from threads on message boards on the internet? Seriously why would someone say something like that if they are later going to fuss about how they are not an idiot? Anyhoo I think "I have internet, I know how to use it" shall now be my go-to response for things. It's…

why exactly does it matter if the cat growls hisses and takes swipes at the puppy? I find it hard to believe that the cat is constantly viciously attacking the dog (while the dog attempts to avoid the cat) to the point of causing injury. Typically if you give the cat room to get away it will hiss, spit, swipe and run- all…

OP if you come back can you share your recipe for arugula potato soup? it sounds yummy
-
keep coming back it works if you work it! sounds like maybe you are likely trying to go too far in the extreme when you are doing a "job well done". Maybe try smaller changes for a couple weeks (or however long you normally go before you "revert"). Don't worry about the loss just practice the changes. Also maybe next time…

people always say that "the person online is not the same as the person IRL" but I "hung out" with my husband online (and in ventrilo rooms) and eventually the phone for a year or 2 before spending much time with him in person and the person I got IRL was exactly the same as how I knew him from long distance interaction.…

yes. I did.

Challenge accepted! I agree about the willful misunderstanding part too. That or someone thinks a lot of people are REALLY incapable of doing basic information gathering. Is there really this mass of people out there trying to lose weight who have no concept of the difference between a steak, potato, milk, twinkie etc?…

were I you I would drop my MFP info to sedentary, set loss to .5 per week and eat at those calories for a week or 2 (or 4) to see what happens and see if I lost the .5 per week. As for exercise, were I to do any I'd only walk/jog/run and I count each mile gone as 100 calories. I know during the time I am doing it it is…
-
you were adorable to begin with but WOW you can really see the difference! Congrats on your progress!
-
Could be worse, you could have not lost the 55 to begin with and then gained the 35! You should give yourself a good pat on the back for the fact you prepared yourself so the blow of all the changes wasn't so bad. A setback sure, but at least you caught it before you gained it all back. I figure if I lose 10, regain 5,…

yeah if you leave off dressing, croutons, meat and cheese the salad should be pretty safe. And in US fast food typically = has a drive thru, but I can understand the concept behind calling chilis a "fastfood" restaurant as it serves much the same type of food as a fast food place but is a restaurant. Makes sense to me.
-
I thought OP meant is it worth it to drive to walk/bike around the lake. I am lazy so often prefer to just walk around the neighborhood. Sometimes I will drive for maybe 5 minutes to get to another place I like to walk. But no, I wouldn't spend 40 minutes driving to walk somewhere unless that's the only place I will…

eat the same type of stuff for breakfast you do for lunch dinner?

whoo hoo congrats on the promotion! I liked the little bit of philly I saw recently. WORST. AIRPORT. EVER it was seriously depressing (and I've seen a lot of airports) but the trains/SEPTA were kinda nice, or at least convenient.
-
Oh yes! I remember now, but you don't live in philly but somewhere near there.. hailing from NE PA myself I can see how you growing up there explains part of why I find you odd. I do rather think I am pretty happy all things considered. I figure I should lose some weight because my general laziness isn't gonna support…

you are a weird bird, not knowing what a co-op is (I guess cause you are young and presumably live in a smallish place and have not traveled much?) But to think you can't be fat and happy? Of course you can, presuming you aren't horrifically shallow or having issues with mortality. What an odd concept, and how would you…

OMG Heisenberg you are too amusing

And again, people assume the lettuce for bread sub is not a good sub. Personally I much prefer a tasty lettuce leaf over a crappy slice of bread. Mostly because the lettuce leaf is actually tasty and crappy bread is well, crappy. If OP finds the sub sufficient that is all that matters
