I did the 9 day (it's actually 11 days) and I, personally, would never do it again. This was September 2011 and I was curious. It was said that if you're hungry you are doing it wrong. I was hungry all the time, I couldn't focus and probably shouldn't have been driving most of the time and I was so miserable. Sure I lost…

We've been buying local, grass fed beef for two years plus eating harvested elk (hubby is a hunter). We much prefer knowing where our meat is coming from even though it is more expensive.

October 31st will be my 3rd anniversary of quitting smoking. It was friggin' hard but so worth it, haven't looked back. I did gain weight but needed to focus more on staying smoke-free. Remember...one thing at a time and one day at a time. You're better off gaining an few pounds and being smoke-free!! Good luck!!

I am thankful for MFP too. I started in March and it has made me realize how much I was eating and how little I was doing. I've really got a handle on what I eat, the calories I take in and the amount of exercise I need to do so I can have a treat. So thanks everyone for all your support and encouragement

That is definitely the funnies farting story ever told!! Thanks for the laugh!!

It's a vicious cycle, not a whole lot different than smoking, alcoholism or drugs. We see success stories daily on MFP of people who found the strength to change their habits (bad or otherwise) and those stories give hope to others who want to change. I must say that the sight of so many obese children does bother me. I…

Sounds like a blast!! Good for you!!

I understand it as domestic fruits and vegetables, fish, grass fed beef, pork and chicken, nuts, legumes. If I was following a 'clean eating' diet I wouldn't eat wheat, sugar or dairy. This may or may not be in line with what others think it is, it is just my idea of clean eating.

I quit wheat in January when I did the Wild Rose Cleanse. I didn't eat wheat after I was done the cleanse and just recently have introduced it (in very small amounts) into my diet and truthfully...I feel like crap after I eat it. Wheat is not my friend. I feel so much better not eating it that it really isn't worth it for…

Currently aiming for 150. Don't think anything less is realistic for me. I'm 158 and feeling good but would love to tone up more.
