Sure you can lose weight by eating what you want as long as you stay within your calorie allowance .... but you need to ask yourself 2 things .... will I be healthy and secondly if i just eat the same stuff that I always have - what have I learned to prevent me getting fat again ? whole grains are more satisfying than processed white and are much better for you too - so i go for multigrain breads and brown basmati rice and wholewheat pasta. I can't really tell you which brands because the brands we get here in the uk are different from what is available in America.

Just had a slice of Burgen soya and linseed bread toasted spread with mashed avocado, a sprinkle of ground black pepper and two rashers of streaky bacon grilled on top. My first taste of avocado and I enjoyed it :drinker:

You could maybe try making some soup with vegetables but then adding curry paste or powder and blending them - add a dollop or two of low fat yogurt on top and it no longer tastes of veggies.
