This is an individual choice. Some people do better with fewer carbs than others. Find the level that works for you. There is no dietary requirement for carbs, no matter how much you work out. You can be very active and never eat any. That said, exercise appears to make people tolerate more carbs than inactivity. So,…

Nut were one of the hardest foods for me to accept as problem foods. I just can't have nuts. Their fiber and anti-nutrients mess my whole gut up. They are anti-satiating to me and cause me to over-consume food. They are just a huge problem. I know a lot of people have success eating nuts, nut flours, nut butters, and nut…

Net carbs is abused to the point that it almost should be completely thrown out. I get the basic idea, encourage people to prefer their carbs come from vegetables and not processed foods. But, that's not how it is used by most products and people. I would say a goal of 30 grams total carbs is better than one of 20 grams…

Many years ago, my New Year's Resolution was to use more profanity. At the time, I never swore. It was just how I was raised, and I was determined to do it. After a great year of success on that resolution, the next year was to use more British slang in my speech. That was a fun one, but it didn't stick.

I got this shirt: I got a bunch of sugar-free jerky, pork rinds, and meat snacks. Plus, I got a couple books. Overall, not a bad Christmas.

Assuming you're talking about the world carnivore month. https://www.facebook.com/groups/163527891074530/ http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/120342-low-carber-carnivore-club

That was last year. My foot is unbroken this year. I rolled my ankle really badly, and the angle and pressure snapped one of the bones. It was horrible. But, I did get a reason to zip around work on crutches and use the building's wheelchair for stunts.

There's the world carnivore month challenge happening, but it's not really a challenge for me. That's just how I eat. If you're interested, they have a facebook group. There's also a carnivore group on here.

I have a touch of whatever crud is going around at work, right now. What do I do? I eat the same as always. Rest. And I drink plenty of fluids. If, and when, I seek cold medicine, I get the diabetic kinds that have no sugar. It's not unlike any other day, except my body is fighting off a bug.

I wish I had saved all my recipes. I had some good keto dessert things around, chocolate peoplebutter fat bombs, cheesecake, and such. I would hesitate to feed them to non-keto folk, though. They might not expect as much fat in such a small desert. These days, I just show up with a meat and cheese tray.

"breakfast"? Around my parts we call that "first steak" and then we have "second steak" and maybe "third steak" and "yet another steak" (depending on how hungry I feel. :) Not a complete joke: I changed those a while ago when playing around. Sadly, I never bother to log.

If I eat breakfast, which is not often, it is nearly always cold steak or burgers that were left over from the night before. I don't ever want eggs in the morning.

Mine has been sitting in a drawer for years. It did what it said it would do, I just stopped worrying about the answer to the question.

You'll find that we support just about every [sane] variation of low-carb. It is going to be hard to get a unified statement as to which one is best. Frankly, the important part is removing the carbs. That is 95% of it. Everything after that is trying to get the last 5% perfect for your own situation.

This explains the renewed interest. Sorry about the delay in approvals. I was away for a few days. We're a quiet and uneventful bunch. I think we went over a month since the last approval. Figured that nothing would happen while I was away. Shows me. Welcome to all the new carnies. Wait, that sounds worse, somehow, than…

On average, I get in two meals a day. I think my ideal would be 3 meals with 30g+ protein at each, but I just don't find myself hungry in the mornings.

If you're trying to maintain your weight and need extra calories, then I might see sneaking it in. But, even when I eat 3,000 calories a day, I rarely feel that I need to just pour calories down my gullet. It can be tasty. But, if you're on a low amount of calories, give it a pass.

I wouldn't drink it. If you want more vegetables in your diet, eat them. A heavily salted and processed drink isn't what I would turn to.

I just order straight meat. Not sure how they would handle that across the Atlantic, but they usually do fine here. Best of all, it's usually cheaper than the bunless burger.

I added the mg/dL units in bold, for those who normally see these numbers like that. Nothing here concerns me. Things look good. Slightly better than the original numbers, but even those weren't too horrible.

The safe and sane advice is to always consult your doctor before making any dietary or exercise changes. That goes for people on medication, as well as those not on it. That said, many people find this way of eating works to lower blood pressure and get them off their medicine. Do you have your own cuff and way to measure?…

Focus on the fact that you have properly address the "hair on fire" emergency of your pre-diabetic blood sugar. That is a huge success. Weight is a low-level concern compared to metabolic and other health issues. Your body will address those first. Keep eating right and watching those macros, and the weight will come off.…

Does anyone really care about the "Woo" tag or any of the other tags? Half the time I don't even notice when people have clicked them for my posts. I just do what I need to do, and post what I feel is beneficial.

I guess it really depends on how much you're eating. For me, this would be a snack. But, for others it might be approaching a meal. It would be a small meal, for almost anyone.

When I was obsessive about tracking everything as accurately as possible, I used the raw weight and information. Then I would weigh out the fat after cooking and subtract that amount of grease from my day. Here is an example that I found, when looking through previous days. Just weighed the bacon before, and then weighed…

There are many who do different red meats (goat/lamb), but not a huge amount who eat only chicken. I don't see a reason they couldn't. Many of the Inuit were seafood based eaters, so there was that. I just find chicken unsatisfying. It would be something that someone could try. Most people just find beef very filling.

I have no doubts that carnivore was not what you were seeking. I was just trying to reassure you that there's no nutritional need for plants. You're not going to become deficient, even if you're not eating as much as you would think you should. Fit the veggies in, as best you can. Most here would not recommend cheat days,…

I know this is not what you asked, but it is related. There are those of us who are complete carnivores. We don't eat any fruits, veggies, or other plant matter. We don't have cheat days where we allow them. And, we don't supplement or take vitamins. Many of us (most even) also don't eat organ meats. So, no liver or stuff…

I have never had a migraine while eating keto or carnivore. Not a single one. I have suffered from them since childhood. That would be four years. I had one migraine. It was in the past year. It was after a month of cheating, and the migraines came back. I've since gone right back to eating right. If anything will steel…

I only have stomach cramps when I have lots of fiber. So, I can't offer much advice more than that. I can state that it is not a "normal" symptom, so it would be something I would try and discover what is causing it to happen. Try seeing if it is certain foods, or if you can help it by upping the electrolytes.
