Ooh, bump, love me some slow cooker recipes.

Welcome, congratulations, and thank you! Feel free to friend me and I'll be as supportive as I can be :) Also, I know I have at least one friend on my friends list who is also getting fit in order to enlist, so maybe she'll see this post and find a kindred spirit.

Hi Angela! You're definitely in the right place. Feel free to send me a request! I love new friends

Inappropriate, swearing and pervy? I need you on my friends list!

I'm not exactly "single" ... but I'm not "married" either .. lol. Still very much the un-tied-down party girl! Does that count?

I think I might be the odd one out, here ... but I jumped in feet first. I just re-started back in August (August 5) and at the end of August I was on vacation (if one can consider 6 days camping in the middle of nowhere with no toilets or showers "vacation" -- I mean I do, but not everyone would) so it was kind of just…

Welcome! I love this site, hope it works great for you! Feel free to add me. I've got a lot more to lose than my li'l ticker claims I do (I'd just rather not see "126 pounds to go" cuz it'll discourage me, lol.)

Ditto :) New friends are good! I have an AWESOME set of friends on here, super supportive, but more are always welcome!

My mother is an amazing cook ... but we both agree that I make her recipes better than she does. My grandmother, on the other hand, made the only apple pie I have ever eaten (and enjoyed.) Sadly, she took whatever her amazing secret was with her when she passed and none of us have been able to replicate it :(

West Coast here! Portland, OR :D And a night owl, to boot! Would love to have some more peeps on when I'm actually, yanno, conscious!

I am 37 years old .. my boyfriend of almost 2 years is 24. I can't have children due to some complications health-wise eighteen years ago. I can totally understand this line of reasoning. I know my boyfriend wants kids, he adores them (even though he won't admit it) but -- I always feel guilty about being with him, knowing…

Voodoo anything!!! Man, seriously? Making me think about Voodoo at 11pm, that's just not right lol.

I should also add ... within about 2 weeks of quitting diet soda, I suddenly realized that my sweet tooth had died down quite a bit. While I used to have these near panic-inducing moments when I just HAD to have something sweet, and no fruit in the world was going to cut it for me ... now days it's more like a momentary…

I don't know how much is hype and how much is true, but I've read a number of studies about it. Everything from diet soda can lead to diabetes and obesity, to it's just fine. From what I have managed to understand, supposedly the soda tastes sweet, so it triggers your brain in to believing you're eating/drinking something…

"That makes one of us"? Maybe? (Or is it late, I'm PMSing, hate that "compliment," and am super grumpy? LOL)

I stopped drinking diet soda on accident. I had no intention of quitting, I just kind of did it. I was going through a 12 pack every 2-4 days .. most days I had a soda cracked and in my hand before I even let the dog out in the morning. We moved to our new place which has a fridge with the built-in water dispenser and…

Good luck on the approval and your journey! I've had a number of friends go through this with absolutely tremendous success (and one with some rather nasty complications, but they're actually due to a rare blood disease nobody knew she had pre-surgery.) While I don't feel it's the right choice for *me* personally, I know…

My dawg, Kodi (Kodiak) And looking a little more adorkable: My other dog, Ares -- my ex has him, but I have visitation privileges: My kitten, Selkhet .. in my bra, lol ahem .. one should never post when still only marginally conscious post-nap

I totally see it! You look amazing! AND! I love the new do! It looks super sassy!

I haven't had any reaction *quite* that extreme ... but I did recently find out (much to my dismay) that pizza makes me violently ill the next morning, and constipates me for two days. As do many other processed foods, it seems.

I can only see half of you in the "before" pic ... but I can tell there is a HUGE difference between that and the after pic. You're looking great!

I'm not hiding from anyone .. but I also don't see many people unless they come visit. I work from home, so tend to only spend time with the in-home family, all two of them (plus our plethora of random visitors.) Neither of them even know I'm doing anything different, other than occasionally mentioning aerobics and the…

Wow, those sound like the dumb laws on the books still in Utah! (Although theirs adds the after 9pm, lights out, no children in the house, both parties covered from the waist up/knees down (which means either wear a t-shirt and knee-socks, or cut a hole in the sheets), for procreation only, woman's knees may not rise…

Generally,. people gain weight when they quit smoking because they need something to do with their hands and mouths, and what they tend to do is .. eat. Also cigarettes can act as an appetite suppressant (probably because they stink to high heaven, and I say this as a smoker.) The last time I quit smoking, I lost 8 pounds…

I make it herb crusted with a ton of spinach, super good. 1 tsp minced garlic 1 tsp marjoram leaves (dried) 3/4 tsp ground mustard 3/4 tsp basil leaves (also dried) 3/4 tsp oregano (dried here, too) 1/2 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp salt 1/3 c butter/olive oil (olive oil is way more betterer for you, but butter tastes better) 1…

I'm not sharing with most people (well, except my local friends on here who obviously are aware, lol) just because they'll figure it out eventually. Even the people I live with don't know, and we all eat together. I'm sure it'll come up eventually, but it just hasn't yet.

Hi Chrissy :) Welcome! We actually have about the same overall goal (I'm just taking it in chunks ... putting down a 150 pound goal was WAY too overwhelming for me!) We have a lot in common, I think we could help each other out. By all means, feel free to add me. I'd love to have more friends on here to slap me around when…

Hi! I'm pretty new too, and would love to see if we can't help each other out. Feel free to add me! And, wow Mary! You've definitely come a long way, that's inspirational!
