5 months in I can say its the best money I've spent. Makes you get to the gym, makes you push yourself (ok, they push you) and I wouldn't give it up. Yes it's a luxury, but if you can afford it, do it!

1) get dr. approval. 2) get a real trainer. With that much to lose (if I set my target to my "ideal" weight I'm was right there with you) your muscles are probably all over the place. I know I never would have chosen the weights I'm doing, and having someone correct your form, and push you is worth it's weight in gold.

There are so many variables that neither is likely correct. With 30 minutes on the ellipitical my chest strap says about 330 cal. The ellipitical says about 370 and MFP says 700! While I like MFP's number better :-) I take the lowest. You can cheat yourself out of some extra food if you are too low, or overeat if you're…
