I am thinking that perhaps you need to find another doctor and get a second opinion perhaps. If you aren't having surgery, and no medical reason other than just needing to lose the 90 pounds, I would have to question such a restrictive amount of calories. Of course, only your doctor knows the reasoning behind his putting…

I know it hurt, but try to not let it get to you too bad. Bless'em, most men don't have a clue, and he was so remorseful for what he said to hurt you without knowing he did. Like someone else said, look at it as a compliment since he obviously didn't see you in a "big" size in his eyes. Numbers will keep going down, so…

I have done WW's several times over the years, and had success, but like many others, tracking the points was such a hassle, and eventually, I would have to quit for financial reasons, and would gain the weight back. Never lost a significant amount there either, and had to pay for that. I LOVE MFP, and am SO glad I found…

Well, I am 57 now, and I sure wasn't too old to gain the excess weight, so I definitely don't feel I am too old to lose it. You are NEVER too old to live a healthy life, and lose unwanted weight. Just takes a little longer to get there now than it did when I was in my 30's or 40's. LOL

Well done! You look VERY good, and have done such a great job getting in shape!

Hi! I am 5'3" and was 210 when I started a little over 2 months ago. I am now down to 196, but that is barely under 200, so please feel free to add me if you wish!

I agree that depending on your build, small, medium, or large boned, makes a big difference in the goal weight you might shoot for. I am medium build, got up to 210 lbs, and am now at 194 or 196, depending on the day. My first goal is for 150, since I felt very good when I was between 140 and 150 lbs almost 18 years ago.…

Welcome to MFP! I have a long way to go myself, but this is a wonderful site to make friends, get support, and track your food and exercise. Being honest with yourself, and for me, logging, logging, logging, is how you do it, one pound, or even less at a time! Add me as a friend if you would like! God bless you and good…

Logging in, being honest with yourself, and keeping an accurate food and exercise diary will make all the difference! If you are doing that, and staying under your calorie goals that are set, you should lose the weight, even if just a pound or so a week. At least that is how it is working for me!

Thanks for sharing this with us!

I am a "Carolina" gal myself. Not sure where Seven Lakes is, but I am in the foothills of NC, in Taylorsville, and always looking for new friends and support, to give and get!

One of the most important things any of us can do is to LOG in our food, and exercise, and keep track everyday. This is such a great site for doing that. I have done it faithfully for two months now and lost 13 lbs. Slow, but sure, the weight is coming off. You can do it, just put your mind to it, and you can be a…
