Wow. Great job!!

I'm cheap... I had a baby and I absolutely refuse to buy new clothes!!!

I agree with everyone else who says everyone is SO inspiring! I'm 5'1" and trying, trying, trying to lose my baby weight although this stuff is some of the most stubborn fat I've ever encountered. 22 gone, last 15 hanging on for dear life... that's when I started MFP. Hope to have photos once I break this plateau...

I ran for 10 minutes straight tonight. I started running 2 1/2 weeks ago and hadn't run since the 200 yard dash in middle school (like 25 years ago). People told me it would get easier and I already feel it. Small triumph compared to many others, but it's mine and I'm pleased.

You forgot to say how much you've lost. :) I think I read your progress post the other day and if I remember correctly you started over 300, so you are doing fantastic! You're already getting smaller even if you don't feel that way. Thanks for sharing! I like the suit!

I'm currently an American in South Korea. South Koreans seem to be like typical Asians, smaller build and shorter and they have no problem telling you to your face that you are fat. You have to shop in special places or online if you are over a size 8 or have a chest larger than a B. That being said, it may come somewhat…

I love that you listed what you are doing to accomplish this. There's definitely a difference! 54 pounds is a huge accomplishment! I can't wait to see more photos as you continue your journey!

At the buffet, look for the people that will prepare the food for you instead of grabbing what it put out in bins. It may take a while to stand in the omelet line, but you can get something prepared for you... scrambled egg whites, egg substitute, poached eggs etc.... less grease than the mass produced things and you can…

You look more than half way! You look fabulous! Congrats on the weight loss, new hair, new job, new clothes and everything else you mentioned... :)

I LOVE military dream's response! Many very good tips to think about... which I needed! I just started running a couple weeks ago. I was going to start with the couch to 5K and downloaded some apps, but ended up taking a little different approach instead. Taking that concept, essentially run/walk... I have an hour long…

WOW, your face looks totally different and the rest of you looks great too! I love works in progress. Can't wait to see more results....

I'm right there with you. I'm an attorney too and those long hours sitting at a desk slowly added the weight to me. I'm in Korea with the military now so have time to exercise but 10 years of being an attorney slowly put on about 30 pounds. I did lose 15 of that when I was still working by taking the stairs, walking when I…

Wonderful story. You are gorgeous!

I thought the same thing. I was large through middle school and larger through high school and was miserable and convinced that the reason everyone else enjoyed themselves so much was because they were thin and thin = happy. Then I lost weight in college. A lot of weight. I went from 165 to 95 pounds. I'm 5'1", but that…

I think in an odd way they think they are saying the right things to you by providing you some excuses. Are these bigger friends? I hate to ask that, but they are probably comfortable with the relationship you've had with them in the past and if you start to buckle down and get serious about eating healthy and being…

I'm only 5'1" too! Just a few pounds makes such a huge difference on us short people... as evidenced by your awesome photos!!! Way to go, so inspiring!

My "guilty pleasure" for workout videos is still Richard Simmons "Sweatin' to the Oldies" or similar. They are not going to get me in tip-top shape by any means!! but they are great to get me off the couch on days that I feel like taking it easy but still want to work out. They are everywhere so you can pick them up pretty…

LOVE that show!!! I have all the seasons on DVD and pretty much play them nonstop since I don't get much American TV in Korea :( Despite that I never tire of seeing them. I have to go with Sophia as my favorite just because she has SO many good one-liners, but Rose pulls my heart being from MN. One of my favorite scenes is…

LOVE this question and all the responses! Wouldn't be my top tip, but since so many excellent ones have been said I would add to make friends on here. I didn't for a while and logging got "old", but now I look forward to reading what my friends are (or aren't) doing so it makes it much more fun to stop in, log for the day…

Melon... he's a very stubborn English bulldog.

I do the same thing!! So far people just notice I'm not pregnant anymore, but soon... very soon I'll start enjoying those NSVs I've been working so hard for.

Great job ladies! Checking out VS suits now...!

I've been where you are for most of my life. I don't make friends easily and move so much that the few friends I do have end up miles away. I'm in South Korea right now and have days I cry because I have no one here to talk to. I have volunteered sometimes with some success. I have also used the web page meet in.…

Wow. This made me smile. I'm so happy for you!

Same boat here... my son is 4 months old and this weight has been hell to get off while trying to nurse! I finally had to break down and buy clothes for the summer that would fit because my old ones won't right now. They are nice clothes, but I hate them. Every time I put them on, wash them or see them in the closet I know…

You're kitty isn't going to have anywhere to perch itself soon... that's okay though, skinny laps are just as good as fluffy boobs. I love all the photos! You look amazing and should be SOOOO proud of yourself! Way to go!

I love your screen name... I'm willing to give motivation and support and honestly need it myself so feel free to friend me. I've spent years of my life overweight and actually ended up at an "okay" weight... not great, but not overweight either. I was able to maintain that for about 4 years but then I got pregnant so I"m…

I've just started trying to run and don't want to give up on it so I would love to find a pair of shoes that works for me, but I'm not even sure what to look for. Unfortunately I'm in South Korea so I don't think I can find a running store and even if I did they likely wouldn't speak English so I'm kind of on my own.…

Love this thread! I was just looking at suits today, but having a 4 month old baby may keep me out of a bikini this summer :( Very inspiring though. Thanks!

Born/raised in MN, lived PA/DE for quite a while ... right now in South Korea!
