tpiper -- Your pics are AMAZING!!!! What an inspiration! How long did it take to make that transformation?

So glad to hear that Pure Cardio is fun:huh: -- if that's possible. I agree with the gasping for air breaks. Today during "recovery" (yeah right) I had to take a break cuz my legs were shaking so badly I was about to fall down. What in the world!!!! I can run a marathon but not finish a 33 minute "recovery" workout! <heavy…

Happy Wednesday! Cardio Recovery ---hmmmm---was hoping we just got to lay on the floor and breathe -- cause that's about all I had energy for. It was shorter than the normal workouts -- and no jumping -- but still tough. My legs were shaking. Hoping my body feels better before tomorrow's Pure Cardio. The name alone scares…

I'm on Day #3 -- and if the level of pain is any indication that it's working -- then it's doing a fantastic job! Curious to hear about others results.
-
Congrats Mindy -- I only hope I can survive until week 3:noway: This is certainly tough -- I was telling a friend I would rather run a marathon than complete one of these workouts. It's definitely working as I am having trouble moving today:bigsmile: My husband and I are doing it together -- and often times get laughing at…

Workout #3 and I swear that man is trying to kill me! It took all my energy to get out of bed -- but now that it's done I am so happy and proud -- aside from the fact that I can hardly move! YIKES!!! Tomorrow is recovery -- so I'm guessing that means just a mediocre *kitten* kicking -- since the warmup is…

Thanks edburg! My husband and I get up at 5am to workout -- so I will be counting the days -- 58 more to be exact  I'm missing running -- are there days that are less strenuous where you could add running?
-
Pain is temporary - pride is forever! But would have to abbreviate :)
-
have you had good results?
-
Dawn -- I take a supplement with Chondroitin and Glucosamine to help with joint health. As a runner, I am constantly abusing them. The supplement definitely takes the "creak" out!

You guys are scaring me!:noway:

LOVE THE QUOTE!!!! Thanks for sharing!

Well me and my DH finally started -- up at 5am for day #2 -- and there is a reason this is called Insanity! I just ran a marathon last week -- and it's nothing compared to this!!! I would gladly run another in place of the 40 minutes of torture I went through today -- but if it isn't hard, anyone could do it....right????…
-
Dawn -- I'm a runner too! Just finished my 2nd marathon on sunday. Once I recover my husband and I are going to start. I'm running in a 1/2 in September -- so I'm hoping this will help me shed a few pounds - tone up - and run faster
-
GREAT! Once I start I will post my results --
-
I'm getting ready to start it -- hopefully on Monday! nice to hear about all the people that love it!

I have read that your body can only process approx. 25g of protein in a sitting. So anything more than that your body is unable to use. May want to research it. If I can find the articel I will post it.....but protein is definitely a great thing and I am always over -- I try for a 1:1 protein to carb ratio. HTH

I've run 3 1/2 marathons and one full -- and am training for my second full -- running about 3 years consistently 25-50 miles per week -- and I have not lost a pound! VERY FRUSTRATED! Please let me know if you get any good suggestions! I certainly feel your pain!
-
Nitz -- congrats on the marathon. you may have just inspired me to run without a watch and let my body dictate how I feel instead of letting my brain tell me I'm too fast or too slow. Any other pointers you want to share -- I've got until March to squash that negative guy that runs in my shadow!

Great "Elf" moment this weekend... We are at the mall and Santa is there! My daughter waits in line to see him. When we get to the car she says... "Mom, that was the REAL Santa" It was? How do you know? "I sniffed him" You sniffed him???? "Yes -- and he smelled like candy canes - NOT beef and cheese!!!" I almost wrecked…

Tom -- you must let your friends know the importance of Track Tuesday. You may be risking your TM -- cause Track Monday -- well that just doesn't cut it!!! Got in 9 miles -- 8 miles at tempo! Tough but so glad it's done!!! For me tempo was a little under a 10min pace. I'll take it -- that would give me a 4h20m marathon.…

Oh -- B -- did you get that double digit done???
-
Hi guys -- quick check in -- Got in 4 miles last night -- Today we helped package food at the YMCA food drive -- went shopping for hunting boots -- then played basketball -- went to church -- came home for another 4 miles! What a busy day! Oh -- ate horribly -- but I'm thinking good deeds and lots of exercise should cancel…

Leash -- so sorry to hear about the accident :flowerforyou: -- hope you are feeling okay! Wishing you a miracle injection that gives you super-like powers!!! Didn't get to exercise last night -- kids were at Earth Kids Club -- guess that's a good reason to skip it. Hoping to run tonight! Tomorrow we are headed to decorate…

HI and Happy Thursday! Still dealing with the cat-tastrophe! He's a bit better -- we all cheered when we got home last night and he was still with us. What a fighter! As for me -- got in 5.5 miles (Lucifer called for 5-6 so that should keep him happy!) Did 1 mile warmup then alternated 1mile at 2% incline - 1 mile @ 0% --…

warning - Debbie Downer to follow.... went to leave work to go to the gym and DH called -- stuck in traffic -- won't be able to get the kids. So off I go -- hoping to workout at home -- then the drama begins. My cat has been missing since Friday. He's at least 14 years old so we assumed he had wandered off to go to…
