True, but don't get too discouraged because the scale isn't moving. You said you've lost an inch in the waist right? That's awesome! The old adage of muscle weighs more than fat....there is a little truth to that.

Once you've set a goal calorie intake for the day, stick close to it. Your body does need the fuel. If you excersize 600 cals worth your intake is only 1100 or so. That's low and your metabolism will likely slow as a result. Eat back some, maybe not all, but get yourself close and you'll see better results.

Unless you're on a specific course of fire that includes both static AND dynamic shooting scenarios, don't bother. Most of the time I"m at the range I'm either just standing kneeling or prone. You're at the range, there's not much better than that. You don't have to make going to the range a workout, it's already a blast…

I was only speaking to what works for me. Absolutely if you are "obese" then your body will burn fat as fuel. If you are not, it will burn fat and muscle, thereby working against your progress in weight training. I just use cardio to keep the endurance up now. I was using cardio a lot, to drop a lot of the body fat that I…

Well, fortunately you're in the right place. What is your calorie intake?

Here's my take on cardio, feel free to correct me if my opinion is flawed. Cardio is extremely important to overall fitness. Strength and muscle tone are nothing if you don't have the endurance to keep going. The trick to effective cardio is the pre-workout food intake. Loading up on complex carbs BEFORE you do cardio.…

We go through a shift bidding process every 6 months. It's all done by seniority. I've got 5 years in, a prime set of choices and I CHOSE to come back to the graveyard. I sleep from 8-3...not too bad. I'm getting used to the eating schedule again. But, somedays I still wonder what the hell is wrong with me.

I live in Vermont and the Vermontster is a monster truck rally/mud bog.

I wouldn't reccomend sleeping on the job, they tend to frown on that.
-
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? How is this possible. 3rd shift is the most exciting time of the day.
-
But I don't want to eat "sweats".

I really wish I didn't have to say this, but home. I have a set routine that I do from my home setup. If I get to go to the gym, I tend to get overwhelmed with the choices of machinery and develop worklout ADD. My sets and reps become an uncoordinated mess and results are pitiful. With that being said, I do maintain the…

Just spotted this and did the math. 3:14 completed. 20:46 to go.

I found that if you really want to get off to a good start, read the forums and blogs for a few days before setting a goal. Use that time to track what you do normally and see where you fall on the scale (pun intended). A lot of information can be gained from people who have done the work and lost a decent amount of…

That there is some strange stuff out here at 1 in the morning.

But when you set the stage that your significant other is just then next ex, you are continuing the cycle...This by the way is a strange role reversal argument we've got going here. Aren't I supposed to be the one devaluing the opposite sex and you're supposed to be calling me a chauvanistic pig?
-
Uh....What?
-
I prefer them not to predestine themselves to failure in the relationship...ie: "then next ex".

I didn't see that coming at all.

Glad to see that you got a chance to watch it...great, but disturbing.

You didn't find out about Zodiac, because nobody ever did. That really happened out in San Fransisco. They never caught the guy. Human Centipede was probably THE most f***ed up movie I've ever seen.
