That's a good idea...but I suggest going to online-stopwatch.com and creating an interval timer. I just think it would be better to push yourself to do more in that time rather than staying at the same level you already know you can do. Just my 2 cents :)

I'm 18 and I really like Jeanette Jenkin's Bikini Bootcamp. It's really tough but you don't have to do all the segments at once (I would do cardio + abs one day then strength the next). I'd also recommend Jillian Michaels DVDs....Kickboxing fast fix, yoga meltdown, and the 30 Day Shred were my favorites.

1st time I wore a bikini that summer. Looking forward to this summer when I know I'm gonna be even more confident wearing it :)

That's a lot of steps! So yes that's very good. Like someone else said, keep in mind the calories burned is BMR plus exercise you've gotten. *I'd like to recommend that you click on settings at the top of this page, go to app settings, and check the box that says "allow negative adjustments." This means if you have a…

My weight came off everywhere, but the least in my thighs. I can see all my ribs but I still have fat thighs...it's strange.

bump! sounds good. Anyone know what I could replace for oats? I don't have any.

Insanity is my favorite! BodyCombat class is my second.

As long as you get your workout in for the day, timing doesn't matter a whole lot. A lot of the time the morning works better for people because you fit it in before you run out of time at the end of a busy day. I've also heard that it's beneficial to always work out around the same time of day (like always in the morning…

When I did 30DS I alternated every day with running. 30DS one day, running the next, and repeat just because I wanted to rest my muscles a little. So it ended up being about 45 days to complete it

search blogilates and pop pilates...love those videos!

When I did it I think I logged it as interval training at about 200 calories

Insanity: Plyometric Cardio Circuit!

You should probably be at more than 1650 if you're 5'5. I'm 5'0 and I get 1600 for maintenance. Are you really sedentary or something? Maybe you need to change your activity level.

As others have said, you can't spot reduce fat but cardio to create a calorie defecit will get rid of fat all over the body. Core based exercises (like planks) will suck in the muscles to create a slimmer waistline. Go to blogilates.com, then the "workout videos" section, and the the live strong pilates bootcamp section.…

I go to this link: http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc and use the "power yoga" option. It's usually about 110-120 calories.

Nice increase on the push up jacks! Those are so tough.

You can definitely try it. I'm currently on Day 2 of Insanity but I've watched all the DVDs for month one to see what I'm in for. I did 30DS a while ago. If you feel you can handle it definitely try it out but be warned Insanity is a huuuuuuge step up in terms of cardio difficulty! Hope your workouts go well for you :)

I did SWSP and I found that level one was a little too easy on the cardio because it's mostly mat work. When I was on level one I combined it with a 2.5 mile run. Level 2 is better for cardio and will feel more like a "workout." So I suggest continuing running during level one, then after you've tried level 2 you can see…

I started today. I'd definitely be willing support/scream at others and be supported/screamed at!

Your weight fluctuates as much as 2 lbs in either direction (on average) a day. So don't weigh yourself multiple times a day after eating things! Stick to weighing yourself once a week or so, at the same time a day (I recommend first thing in the morning before you've eaten anything.)

I don't know where to buy it, but if you can get Wax Orchard's fat free hot fudge sauce, try it! It's sweetened with fruit and is very chocolatey. 65 calories for a spoonful and fat free - satisfies my sweet tooth!
-
That is horrible! So rude of them. I probably would've just stayed on the elliptical for thirty minutes out of spite :P

I'm at maintenance now so I eat about 1590 a day. But when I was losing I was at 1200 a day and lost a pound about every 10 days. At the end when I was focusing on toning/adding muscle I went up to 1340 and gained about 2 lbs. *My goal weight was 105. Right now I fluctuate between 103 and 108 lbs.

ANYTHING chocolate. Or with peanut butter. Crave these 2 all the time =\

Ah...one of the downfalls of being only 5 feet tall and approximately 106 lbs...energy/calories burned from workouts is smaller than what other people do. A "good" workout for me is about 250 (possibly 300) calories in about 50 minutes. I try to do this about twice a week, but on days I have classes I usually only have…

That is awesome, congrats! It's so nice to get confirmation that your body is shrinking and becoming more healthy!

Thanksgiving is a day to cheat! (At least for me). However I do plan on cutting 100 calories a day for the week leading up to turkey day to avoid gaining weight.
-
I'd suggest Jillian Michaels yoga meltdown - it's all body weight training for toning. You'll probably want to continue doing cardio in addition to that, and mix in a few other dvds because you don't want your body to get too used to the moves!

It's tricky cause it's not cardio at all, but is definitely burning calories. I use this website to calculate using "power yoga": http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc
