the taste and texture quite literally makes me ill.

MFP says I should get 70g a day. I usually get around 40. I am indeed feeling physically ill for the past several months, but I doubt that has anything to do with my protein intake, or lack there of, because I've always had a really low intake. I am on iron supplements and my last blood panel showed that I'm at good levels…

I don't eat meat because I can't stand the texture of most of it and the taste bothers me even more. It's not a moral thing, it's a preference.

My doctor took a look at my diary entries from the past few months and said that I'm not getting nearly enough protein. I didn't open my diary because I figured I explained my intake pretty well in my initial post.

The first thing I notice is that your daily intake fluctuates A LOT. One day you didn't even eat 1,000 calories (which is dangerous to do, by the way) and another day you ate almost 2,000. You need to try to not fluctuate so much. I think you should try to eat as close to your allotted 1,400 a day and mix up your exercise.…

Feel free to add me! I have a total journey of 165lbs to make. I'm down about 50lbs already but still have a long way to go. I always like friends and especially those who are supportive and who want my support too.

Mayo, most popular fast food joins, packaged ramen, burgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, most fried things in general. And while I don't hate alcohol, I hardly ever drink it. I wish I didn't like a lot more though. It'd be super helpful to not like baked goods (doughnuts, cake, cookies, etc).

good thing I already hated McDonald's! If I didn't, I sure would now

Pizza Quesadilla: 1 whole wheat tortilla 1/3 cup 2% milk cheese of choice 1/4 medium onion, sliced 1/4 medium pepper, sliced 5 slices turkey pepperoni I usually saute the onions and peppers (I spray the pan with cooking spray) until slightly soft, then dump them in the the tortilla and top with cheese and pepperoni. Fold…

I have an awesome one. Really low cal and still delicious. The biggest thing is to slow cook. Start with chicken breast, seasonings (including onion and garlic) and chicken stock. Let cook until the chicken is falling apart. Remove 2 cups of stock and set aside to cool. Shred chicken and add back into stock. Taste and…

As far as green bean casserole, use reduced sodium or 98% fat free condensed cream of mushroom (instead of regular). Use frozen green beans instead of canned. Skim milk with the mushroom soup. Can't really replace the french onions completely, but I recommend using half as much. Use enough to mix in to the actual…

I'm game!

Yeah, was just having an off day. Couldn't get the energy up to get off my *kitten* and do anything. I gave myself that day, but I've exercised every day since, so I figure I'm doing good.

When I was 12, I was diagnosed with generalized depression. About 2 years later, I started having real trouble with anxiety. After more testing and such, I was re-diagnosed as having bipolar NOS, social anxiety, agoraphobia, general anxiety, OCD and for awhile even mild pantophobia (I didn't leave my house [other than when…

I found the most amazing and easy recipe about a week ago. The original recipe wasn't very healthy, but by changing a few ingredients to low/no fat and adding some beans, that made it quite healthy and yummy! Italian Chicken 12-16 oz frozen chicken breast 1 can reduced sodium cream of chicken soup (condensed) 1 can water 1…

The tendinitis is in both wrists and right shoulder, in case anyone was wondering. I'm stuck wearing my stupid brace today.

I'm so conflicted! Some people say they can't tell, some people say it still tastes like cauliflower!!!
-
BUMP! I'd really like to hear from other cauliflower haters who have tried these things.

I was completely vegetarian for 10 years. Now I'm still mostly vegetarian, but I force myself to add a few meats into my diet for health reasons. I posted this thread a few days ago: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/743935-tofu-parmigiana-recipe I thing you might really like this recipe. Instead of the egg sub to…

that.... does not sound remotely healthy >.>
-
its because you're using such small amounts of the bread crumbs, parm cheese and mozz on top. Also, the mozz is made with 2% milk. You can also actually use light tofu to lower calories further.
-
lol I was going to say, the calorie count at the bottom is for 1/4th of a 16oz package of tofu, plus 1/4th of the rest of the ingredients.

Oh my god, I found what I'm making with my chicken tonight!!!
-
It doesn't really get that crispy in the first place, since you aren't using much oil. The frying pan step is more to keep the breadcrumbs adhered and to enhance the flavors. I don't miss the crispiness though.

I'm going to try the Apple and Sweet Potato has Browns and the Baked Sweet Potato Latkes.
-
Oooo.. I definitely wanna try this. A mix of sweet and savory. Love it!
-
That's pretty much what I always do too. I was thinking of just slicing them up as oven fries to go with supper tonight, but I really want to try something interesting! The last time I dieted, I failed to stay on track after the first year because I got bored with the food. This time, I've vowed I will try as many recipes…

Thanks for all the replies, guys! I know the more people I have to hold me accountable, the better I'll be at keeping on track!

Thanks so much, Chrissy!
