  • That's awesome! Good job, man!
  • That's so great! Keep that attitude - it looks good on you :)
  • Congrats @tracymayo1 - That's wonderful.
  • 1. Be retrospective like Carol : talk to your team about a fire in your life or smoke you saw that "consumed" you and made you rise like a phoenix from the ashes in a new direction, especially if this story relates to health and fitness like a sport's injury or regaining weight you had lost. I've always been so hung up…
  • Yes, my former stunt man husband ripped this scene apart. Then to top it off, why the heck would Carol just run way out into the street when the guys were still in the building...c'mon writers....
  • Week 5, Beginner Beth Cardio - 172/60 Strength - 130/60 Calories - yep Character challenge - yep Punishment - Exempt, but did it anyway :) If any beginners are short, they can use some of my minutes.
  • Hey Beginner Buddies - I'll have 75 minutes of strength and 72 minutes of cardio over what's required. If any of you need some, message me by 9am Central Saturday morning and I'll donate so nobody has to forfeit points. I also did the punishment, even though I was exempt, so if someone needs that, let me know. I haven't…
  • I sure appreciate you and the team leaders for all the time and effort you put into making the challenge fun and, well, challenging! THANK YOU GUYS!!
  • 1. Be like Tara: take the time to encourage a friend or a stranger on their fitness journey. Yesterday I encouraged a fellow MPFer in another group I'm part of, we both need to hold each other accountable for goals 2. Be like Eugene: I am going to try the 5:2 Fast Diet after this challenge is over. I've been so bummed that…
  • Brussels Sprouts are awesome! Even my granddaugher loves them. Of course, it's all in how you prepare them. Our favorite is quartering them, drizzeling with EVOO & Parm cheese and roasting. My MIL will only boil them - they're not so bueno that way! I've heard they're pretty easy to grow, might try that in the garden next…
  • @tracymayo1 - how 'bout mountain climbers in plank position?
  • I'm sad that there's only 3 episodes left in this half of the season! IMDB shows Emily Kinney in every episode the rest of the season (parts 1 &2), so maybe it was Noah wrapped in the sheet, although I didn't see the teaser and we still don't know who Darryl told to 'come on out' when he went back to the church. I agree,…
  • Week 4 - Beginner Beth Cardio - 379/100 Strength - 125/55 Calories - Under for the week Punishment - Yes Character Challenge - Yes
  • NSV - did the FB boot camp today (same one we did in week 1). I remember feeling totally wiped afterwards four weeks ago, but today, while still definately challenging, I didn't feel near as exhausted and even did the planksgiving challenge afterwards :)
  • Haha, me too! coconut oil & aloe vera to the rescue. Those 2 point planks are killer - anyone got an alternate that's still challenging but doable? Not sure I'll be able to get past 20 seconds.... Also, I'm at a huge surplus for both cardio & strength if anyone needs them - just let me know. Nice work all you C25Kers. I'm…
  • Thanks guys! @ Jamielynn - I'll have extra of both cardio and strength come Saturday, let me know if you want them.
  • nice work, CindyB97!
  • Working on the Beth challenge. Got the Mountain Climber (3x) done; will do a repeat of the FB boot camp on Friday. For #3, I'll share that I underestimated my strength. I did this challenge in part two of last season, also at beginner level. Then I was sidelined this summer for a hysterectomy. As soon as I was cleared, I…
  • I'm thankful for Planskgiving....well, at least my core will be when it's over anyway :)
  • Me too! (or six,or seven...whatever), but I'm with Thump....I gotta look up what some of those moves are :o
  • Our girl kicked some booty yesterday...way to go Beth! Can't wait to see you punch Dawn in the face!!
  • Week 3 Posting early because I won't have access to the message boards this weekend. Beginner/Beth Cardio - 237/90 Strength - 115/50 Within Calories - Yes (for the week, anyway , I had one day I was waaaay over) Character Workout - Yes, 3x plus I did Glenn (et al), Michonne (et al), Judith & Rick Punishment - n/a,…
  • Yep, I've done the punishment 2x, and my character challenge 2x also. I'll add another character challenge tomorrow (didn't even think to do that!)
  • Mine MFP suggested is at 65, and a check at the http://www.webefit.com/Calculators/Calc_protein.html tells me it should be 69, so pretty spot on.
  • I just did the character challenge using a dumb bell. It was more difficult than the DA video from last week :) I counted it as Strength for 15 minutes ('cause he's kinda chatty!) Sorry 'bout your car, JamieLynn
  • Not sure if this should be posted on my character team or fitness level team, so I'll put it in both places. My strength training consists of using our Total Gym. We've had it just over a year and prior to my surgery in April, I was following their Intermediate Workout DVD; since I hadn't introduced strength training back…
