That's awesome! You look great!

Hi Beth, welcome! I'm been part of this group for a while now....now to much action here, tho. I'm out in the HEB area. I've found that joining challenges helps me. I've just been released by my surgeon to exercise after a 5 week recovery. I joined to MFP challenge groups - Fab Fours and Get Moving May. I find that I need…

I know, right??!! What happened to tv series running Sept - May? Now they don't start until well into fall, end in early spring and take a 'winter' hiatus! grumble, grumble! and agreed...burpees suck and planks a just a simdgeon better, but I'm challenging myself to increase from a 30 second plank to a 60 second plank by…

Thanks Rosanne! I hear ya - not wanting to get on HRT was the main reason I wanted to keep the ovaries! I started back exercising and logging food this week. So far, so good. I really find that challenges work best for me (if left to my own devices, I'll put off exercising!). I joined FabFours and Get Moving May. Each have…

I'm there with you! My fitness plan got derailed by a surgery than a bout with kidney stones. I was just released by my doctor to begin exercising again - low & slow as she said, but I have the green light to more than just a casual walk - yahoo! Send me a friends request - we'll keep each other motivated. ~Patti

I'm 4 weeks post - robotic hysterectomy, leaving only the ovaries. Last week I began to feel horrible, I thought maybe I had torn some internal stitches. Well, I actually had a UTI, kidney stones, and a sonogram showed that now I have cysts on both ovaries. I have no energy to even get out there and walk. I have put on a…

and also posted on the fitspo thread. I feel like figuring this out was a workout in and of itself!
-
OK, got my fitspo, but I need someone to dumb down the directions on how to post it in a thread. Searching other posts and in the help section garnered nothing.... Nevermind - I figured it out all on my own:tongue:
-
also - I'm down with some ab work. Fitness Blender has some good crunchless ab vids, such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKFVZu_4Lq4

ummm....just saw Emily Kinney playing a short lived (literally) character on The Following....I hope that's not indicative that her role as Beth is no more....

Hey Rhonda - I'm there with you - about getting back into the routine. What I found works for me is to join a challenge - one where you're accountable to others. For me checking in with an accountability partner with my fitness and weight totals each week keeps me motivated (and having to 'fess up when I've been lazy or…

Hey Tiff - I'll have at least 45 minutes of Cardio and 30 minutes of strength to spare if that's helpful to you. (PS - I'd totally be counting that 'setting up camp' as strength minutes - that's a lot of work! ) Congrats Kimoire on the compliment from your daughter - TJ's right - it's great with others notice what…

Good job Kimoire! I've really enjoyed this challenge - and this group of ladies I'm doing it with! We're in the home stretch :)

Thanks for the well wishes! I need to have a hysterectomy. I had endometrial ablation a few years ago and now have developed scar tissue that isn't allowing me to completely empty during each cycle (yuk! and sorry to be so graphic!). Surgery scheduled for 4/8, and I'll be down and out for about 4 weeks. Hoping as soon as I…
-
Well, bummer folks. I may not be able to complete this challenge, I learned I need to have surgery. We'll see when it gets scheduled :(
-
Nice work Marie! You look great :)
-
Thanks Tiff! Also - I'll have 15 xtra cardio minutes and 40 xtra strength minutes this week for you or anyone else that needs them.
-
My goal is to lose at least 1 pound. Last week I only lost .2 pounds it was was depressing. I stayed well below my calorie goals, but that doesn't mean it was good, healthy food. Already this week I've spent 105 minutes on cardio and 100 minutes on strength...feeling good!
-
HI Everyone~ Let me share that this challenge has motivated me like nothing else before! Since I got out of the drinking and drugging scene, keeping weight off has always been a challenge. I've lost and found the same 15 pounds over and over. 4 years ago, I dropped over 25 pounds through a very expensive weight loss…

Great job! P90X scares me - hats of to you!

So, for the wall squats (yuk!), I didn't see an exercise in the database so I could log as strength. So, I found this calculator at fitclick.com - http://www.fitclick.com/calories_burned What I'm doing is described as the wall sit and I'm burning 30 cals for the 5min - basically sitting like a chair. Is this what we're…

Welcome Back - Glad you're feeling better!
-
Greetings Team Daryl! I, too, am from Team Beth and will have 10 minutes of arm strength for someone as an offering of gratitude for helping me stay alive for another week! ~Patti
-
So sorry to see you go Shirley! Good luck to you on your fitness journey (it's not always nor totally about weight loss). Blessings to you! ~Patti
-
So when will we learn what our extra exercises will be for losing?
-
Congrats fellow beginner walker killing team! May the 'beginners' lead the challenge!
-
Sweet! That's good to know! I've got some extra strength minutes (20) this week if someone needs 'em.
-
@McFlat....that's hilarious!! Thanks!
-
maphammonds you gave me starting weight but no measurements. If you are going to use just weight, let me know so I can mark that down. Well, I didn't take starting measurements, so I'll just go with weight. Thanks to you for all the extra work you're doing for us :)
