  • Sorry about your loss :noway: that's where most of my inches have gone as well...but, I have lost a lot more inches than pounds...just stick with it, you'll see results soon....:flowerforyou:
  • Forget the scale numbers and get a tape measure....see if that helps
  • :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: THANK YOU for restoring MFP... I, too, was in a total panic....
  • I have the same problem and I have to agree with zenmama...the bench dips work the best...I use the window sill, though, I don't trust myself not to flip a chair over ... :noway:
  • A couple of questions...first - are you eating all of your calories??? second - have you taken your measurements? I've been on here since December 27th and the weight has come off very very slowly (and I might add I do not follow the workout regimen you are), however I have lost more than 16 inches...you might want to get…
  • fruit2o is good as well...and no calories...just a little sodium...:drinker:
  • check caloriesperhour.com...vee
  •  Check the message boards and locate "THE answers to THE questions"... it was very helpful to me...I, too had a fear of eating, but was actually in starvation mode...since upping my calorie intake and eating "mini meals" every 3 hours, I started losing....Good Luck to you!!
  • Sounds like you have the right idea with only tasting a tbsp of certain dishes...another thing that helps me is to use one small plate and then "lose" the plate when you've had your one "tasting"...good luck :flowerforyou: vee
  • A couple of things...it could very well be water weight...and second, try using a tape measure and checking your measurements, you could very well be gaining muscle mass and losing inches...I have been on MFP since late December, and have not noticed a lot of movement on the scale, but have lost nearly 16 inches...hang in…
  • Welcome!!! My tip would be to get a tape measure and check your measurements, while you may not be losing by the scale, chances are you're losing inches...just hang in there!! :flowerforyou: vee
  • My second favorite site after MFP...caloriesperhour.com...will probably give you calories burned count for all of the activities you listed...v :flowerforyou:
  • Two words---TAPE MEASURE!!!--I've been on this site since Dec 27th, and have only lost 6 pounds, BUT I've lost a total of nearly 16 inches....Might make you feel better about all of your hard work....:flowerforyou:
  • you can check for a more accurate amount of calories burned by going to caloriesperhour.com, the site has a walking calculator that allows you to input distance & time (it'll calculate your speed & the number of cals burned)...or you can do it by speed and distance or speed & time...it also has calculators for every…
  • I wish I knew the answer to that one...I got stupid about 5 years ago...(desperate, actually)..and started smoking in order to lose weight...I need to quit, but I'm scared silly that I'll gain weight...Good luck to you and hopefully someone can post some success tips.....:smokin:  vee
  • :drinker: Congrats!!!! it's a wonderful feeling, isn't it???? Keep up the good work!!!! :drinker: vee
  • I was having the same problem because I also lost a lot with WW about 2 1/2 years ago and I love the food and activity points as well...because, as you said, you can calculate mentally...BUT...this site does all of the work for you only with calories...just make sure that you log everything....:flowerforyou:
  • I've had the same questions...I have an ancient treadmill that doesn't allow me to enter my weight or any of that, and it always says that i've burned way more calories than are calculated here...AND it doesn't seem to care whether I've got the incline up or not...so, I just enter the calculated calories from here and hope…
  • oh yeh, I messed up the quote...for crying out loud...:noway:
  • Check caloriesperhour.com....the site has a huge database of activities...hope this helps..vee
  • Get a tape measure and check your measurements!!! I have lost only 6 pounds since December, but the inches are falling off...and fresh lemon or lemon juice do act as diuretics (and make plain water taste a little better)...good luck to you:flowerforyou:
  • BUT...I've been reading a lot of recent posts from fellow MFP members who seem to be needing motivation, exercise ideas and the like...SO, I was thinking about this while walking on the treadmill and decided to give y'all some of the things that I've used over the last several years while trying to lose pounds, get fit &…
  • This may seem lame, but...I, too, hate the treadmill (tho I have started using it again..:noway: )...anyway, prior to that I just made a "route" around the house...and, if you have any stairs inside use them...just a suggestion, but it got me started...
  • Welcome Plantlady & to Rosie, as well...this site is absolutely wonderful...good luck to you both!! :flowerforyou:
  • here's another way to check calories burned....it has every activity I could ever possibly think of...to include bathing and grooming animals....and I would think kiddos would be included on the list somewhere as well www.caloriesperhour.com Hope your daughter feels better.....:flowerforyou:
  • I like sunchips, and am not much of a raisin lover, but I have started craving them with about a tablespoon of almonds mixed in...I have also been able to find prepackaged "dippin stix" at the local WM...there is a fat free ranch & baby carrot pack...I sprinkle lemon pepper on the carrots, and they're 70 calories..
  • Welcome...and good luck!!!! :drinker:
  • Welcome Nellie & Aunt Karen---this website is awesome...good luck to you both:flowerforyou:
