I hope I never take Prednisone again. I haven't taken it for UC but for a totally different condition about 15 years ago. Long term use it is not. As for the weight loss; did your doctor check your Vit D level? Mine was very low and my doc said it has an impact on weight loss...just sayin'.

Your question can probably be better answered on this site: http://www.ccfa.org/ I was reading earlier about various connections on other illnesses or autoimmune diseases associated with UC. Your doctor should be able to provide an answer too.

Stress is a big trigger. Although I don't think there is a one fits all diet like say for diabetes certain foods are known to be triggers especially those that cause a natural gas like broccoli and cauliflower or beans - I have found a small amount of these items mixed in with other food items reduces the risk of a trigger…

GOOD Morning Ladeis! or at least it is for about another hour in my time zone  I slept really well - loooong! and I am feeling so refreshed. My hubby is in a good mood himself. He's gone to grab us some lunch. He's on vacation so I say "if he's on vacation I'm on vacation!". It's been kind of crazy hectic the last 3…

My DIL friend made her this cute trike riding bear... Life has been busy here in Plano and from the looks of this thread March is going to…

I'd do it now except I have a few things on my plate to finish up. Here's to all the ladies and 1 guy - have a glorious…

What a Monday! Up early yet I still didn't the "worm" meaning that I missed out on a possible deal. That and still struggling with my cold has put a damper on this day. I am ready to call it quits and sit in front of the tv with my blankie :grumble: @jane I like new computers but the learning curve is growing with my age…
