  • My situation is kind of the opposite. I've always been overweight and so many of the important photos I have make me cringe, and go why did I let myself be that way and not get healthy sooner. High school senior photos, graduation, college graduation and wedding photos are all of me about 100 pound heavier and is sucks not…
  • 5' 6" 179 pounds and somewhere between an 8 and 10, more towards the 8 end most of the time.
  • I've started to be pretty fond of Annie's Light Honey Mustard Vinaigrette. 40 cal for 2 TBS, and you don't need too much of it to get a great tasting salad.
  • I've about had enough of the Pop 2K and what ever other hit music Sirus station they like to play. Crappy Macklemore music came on and killed my adrenaline buzz and focus the other day so I've been trying to decided how to pull off headphones without tangling myself up! It would be, as with the time I spend on the…
  • Daves Killer Bread 21 Grain with Smuckers Natural Peanutbutter (Just peanuts and a little salt type) I have it every morning with breakfast and can't pull myself away from it. I've tried subbing other things but I always want to go back to it!
  • Hard boiled eggs, Cottage Cheese with an apple diced up in it sweetened with a little liquid stevia and cinnamon, Quest bars.
  • How great the fresh tilled dirt in the garden is going to feel as I plant my garden for the year this morning...and hoping that I don't have to dodge too many treasures left by the clan of farm cats who also discovered the fresh tilled earth!
  • Breakfast- Biscuits, Gravy, Eggs, Sausage and Hash Browns with Hot Chocolate or a Mocha Lunch- A good Burger and Fries with a ice cold Pepsi Dinner- BBQ Ribs, Corn on the Cob, Baked Potato, Salad and Strawberry Shortcake Sounds good to me! But I doubt I'd feel very good, or that my stomach would appreciate the volume of…
  • I'm 24 and my husband is 44 and it works pretty good for us! It's all just matter of being at the same place in your life goals and where you want to go. We just are on the same page in about all aspects of our life and the number doesn't mean a darn thing to us!
  • The biggest thing I always notice is that I help my mother-in-law do her weekly shopping, at a different time the I do mine, because she isn't patient and there is no way in heck I could get what I want with her barging forward. Anyways, she's the type that won't take the time to make a decent meal (she's 79, always been…
  • I like to go with 1/2 cup of Greek Yogurt, 1/2 cup Frozen Unsweetened Raspberries and about 4-5 drops of liquid stevia. Mash/Mix turning it into a slightly frozen treat. It works best with raspberries because they break up into the little pieces which makes it quicker to freeze up.
  • AC/DC....My husband and I's first trip together after we'd been dating a couple of months. It was his 4th or 5th time seeing them.
  • The US Dry Pea and Lentil Council provides a link to recipes. Straight from the heart of the Palouse with Peas and Lentils grown all around us here. Here is the link they provide. http://www.cookingwithpulses.com/all-recipes/
  • I've had pretty good luck with getting the waitresses at Denny's here to let me order off of the senior menu. I like the Senior Fit Fare Grilled Chicken. It is a pretty reasonable meal out without having to ask for a lot of changes. Grilled Chicken, Broccoli, Corn and a salad.
  • Thank you everyone for your positive messages and good luck to everyone on their health journey as well!
  • My family knew I was working on it, but with the exception of my Mom and Dad none of them had seen me since last March as I was just starting. That left quite a bit of room for surprise at how I actually looked.
  • First off, we'd take the lump sum vs payment over many years. Pay off Students Loans Pay off Family debts Pay off Inlaw debts and mortgage. House expansion/remodel/tear down start over..which ever seems best! See if we can't buy back the 100 acres of the inlaws land they've sold to handle the insurmountable debt. Find a…
  • I'm getting close to the 100 pound mark and I've been on here for about 245 days, I started a bit more that. So, roughly 10-11 months it seems like it will be. Hoping to be at the 100 pound mark by Christmas, if not then, New Years for sure. ONEderland (199.9 lbs) by about Mid Jan at my next doctors appointment would be…
  • I started at a 24 (302 lbs) and am now to a 16 (207 lbs) that is starting to get loose. I am going to see family at Christmas so will go clothes shopping right before then, and am hoping to be squeezing in a 14 soon!
  • My ticker gives you a nice comparison to the two red calves :)
  • Same as I usually have been eating, passing on stuffing, bread and potatoes. Gladly eating a ton of the vegetables that I preserved from our garden this year along with turkey and our pineapple rum soaked ham! All while being thankful of how far I've gotten so far on this journey. Oh, and several deviled eggs I'm sure…
  • Not a real helpful answer but.... One of my football coaches in high school told us all: "It will feel better when it stops hurting" This coming at the end of conditioning session a few days into daily doubles when we are so tired and sore we can barely move. My favorite thought when I'm sore now though! Usually seems to…
  • I just found Stash White Christmas tea. It's White Tea with Peppermint and Ginger. Yummy!
  • We decided instead for physical items to give each other we're going to extend our trip to my parents for Christmas by a few days by swinging up to Seattle from Oregon on our way back to Idaho to take in the Seahawks game along with the Idaho Vandal basketball game against Seattle U. So, we're getting each other tickets…
  • So proud of you! Glad to get to be part of your journey on here! Awesome job. :)
  • I've moved from my clothes being quite a bit bigger than my husbands, to us both wearing large shirts/jackets. So, it's worked out well because as winter is setting it I have felt like I can buy decent jackets, that are a little more spendy, like my new Carhartt jacket and know that when I shrink out of it, it will still…
  • 1, How long did you plan? Officially, 7 months, but we had sort of had ideas before the actual engagement. 2. How much did you spend? (sorry if that's personal) Was this more/less than you planned? Under $5,000 3. How many people were invited/ how many showed up? Invited: 120 Showed: 60 (but we invited a lot from out of…
  • rockstarmommy- Genuinely happy. Nice Smile.
  • No worries there because I hate spending money on clothes so my idea of buying clothes to work is 6 for $20 target t-shirts and nothing that isn't on clearance. So no chance of buying anything I actually like to worry when I shrink out of it. HA!
  • Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the comments. To the question about height, I'm 5' 6" Thanks for all the support everyone!
