  • @Kirstie155 I have a full-time job in town. My husband works from home selling on eBay and we have a couple of rentals on the place and then it is a never ending list of things that need to be done! There are a lot of things that got pushed off and not fixed over the past 10-15 years while his parents were living on the…
  • @Kirstie155 Yes, we have just over 100 acres. Most of it is leased out for dryland farming (husband used to farm, but bad prices and conditions in the 90's pushed him out.) Depending on the year, they grow wheat, garbanzos, dry peas and lentils. I have about 20 acres that is fenced off for pasture. I have 5 cow/calf pairs…
  • No way am I hitting my goals this month, this week has been a disaster and I've been way over more than I've been under. It just lost steam and motivation. Some idiot backed into my new car at a stop sign Tuesday, less that 5,000 miles on it and they busted up my front bumper and hood. I'm more mad than anything, I bought…
  • @jennamae102 She sounds about like how my mother-in-law was, she didn't quite have a good enough filter on her thoughts. We cringed in public quite often as she had a voice that seemed to cut through even the noisiest environments. "So and so doesn't look good" or "So and so got fat" *cringe* I didn't know her before she…
  • @1fit_mamma -- I thought for a bit it might have been me screwing it up the other day because I had some I days I thought I filled in that weren't there when I went into the spreadsheet, but the numbers on your row didn't match my missing entries.
  • !!!!! Congrats @1fit_mamma :)
  • Good luck @Jackie0Marie! How exciting! Making the shift from preventing pregnancy to seriously planning to TTC has been a interesting/challenging mental shift for me. Seems so unnatural to go from years of preventing something to all of the sudden having it desired and the goal. Crazy and scary are exactly how I've felt…
  • 5/1: 265.7 Goal: 253 Last week I lingered right around 263 last week so I don't think my almost 266 this morning is very accurate. I calculated my goals a few days ago based on the weight then, so it may not be quite as big of a goal as it appears but it's still going to be pretty aggressive. I am banking on the weather…
  • I am 3.7 pounds away from my goal today. Hoped to hit 258 and am at 261.7 I set a pretty steep goal that I figured I could hit if I kept on point all month, but that didn't happen. I had two weekends that I overindulged and many days (mainly due to weather) that I didn't hit my step goals. Despite that, progress is still…
  • @Kirstie155 You'll get it! I hope your work projects all go smooth this week. I have a event 7 hours away coming up for work this weekend and expect I'll be pulling long, crazy hours this week as well, not to mention driving all day Thursday and Saturday. I always struggle to make the time to eat well when I start pulling…
  • Happy April! It's finally stopped raining every moment of every day! We are 5.5" over average for rain/snow this winter, most of that coming as rain in March. Start weight 4/1: 268.6 Goal weight 4/30: 258.0 Fitness goal: Average 10k steps/day and 2 yoga sessions/week
  • Feel free to add me on Fitbit as well! Perhaps we can start some group challenges with them, I am just finishing up a Workweek hustle with another group of friends. https://www.fitbit.com/user/26G2NR
  • Great job @samlovesthesnow! Stay positive @pezhed no doubt you'll smash your goals in April. I am happy with my March, the challenge is going to be keeping my head on straight to sustain the momentum now. I can't tell you how many times I've crushed it for 2-3 weeks, then derailed in the past year or two. It feels right…
  • @pezhed I hope things get better. Different schedules are so hard. I'm an early bird and my husband is a night owl. He goes to bed at about 2am and I am up around 5am. I try and do things before coffee has kicked and and always end up dropping a bowl or something on the floor. I feel like a jerk sometimes! @Kirstie155 We…
  • Thanks all! I look forward to joining in the conversations. I like the spreadsheet, it sure beats my printed calendar with information sprawled on it. Look forward to getting to know everyone.
  • Himalayan Blackberry (while a noxious weed, much tastier than store bought if you survive the thorns and don't fall into the thickets!), Marionberry, Blueberry, Raspberry, Strawberry, Salmonberry, Huckleberry
  • Thankfully we purchased the lifetime protection plan from Harry Ritchies and includes sizing. I have had mine done twice. Once from an 11 to a 9, then again from a 9 to a 7 1/2. Basically, if I could shake it off it was time to get it done. I did also use the temporary sizer inside the band for a while as well.
  • I do left over regularly brewed coffee, in a glass over ice with 5 drops of English Toffee Stevia and a splash unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk.
  • I went from 302 lbs with an A1C of 11.6% (Feb 2012) and I am now 174 lbs with my last A1C being 4.5%. (July 2013) I can't really tell you any specific details of what I did. Moderated carbs to keep blood sugars low, I never had to test at home. Was on Metformin for the first 100 pounds I lost to keep my blood sugars low,…
  • My gym playlist is AC/DC, that's it. From Bon Scott and High Voltage to Brian Johnson and Black Ice, and everything in-between. Doing bicep curls to "Fire Your Guns" is appropriate timing when the song coincides with the lift on random shuffle. ETA: to the person who said Macklemore, how? That's why I started wearing…
  • Well rounded, delicious and comforting...Homemade Beef Stew with corn, carrots, potatoes and onions. All homegrown of course.
  • I throw them in any chili or soups I make. I love the creamy, smooth addition they make. Blend well with so many flavors.
  • Ditto on the grapes! I just go grab a few more..then a few more...then screw it, I'm tired to walking to the fridge and the bag ends up at the couch. Could be worse I guess, but still, they are my "binge" item lately it seems without other things in my house.
  • I pretty well strictly use liquid stevia drops in my tea. Usually I just have it plain. If I do Chai I add unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk (30 cal per cup) since that's what I have in my fridge. I much prefer the liquid stevia to powdered. It doesn't have the off taste the added ingredients in the power seems to have. 4-5…
  • I'm 5' 6". Started at 302 pounds in a 24 jeans, XXL Unisex t-shirt and a 3XL women's shirt, size 11 shoes women's shoes. I'm now 172.9 pounds. In about an size 8 for my jeans, Medium to Small unisex t-shirt and a Medium to Large Women's shirt, size 9.5-10 shoes
  • I add a glug of Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk and 4-6 drops of KAL Vanilla Liquid Stevia. It's great in hot coffee, or in iced coffee as well. I usually count my cup in at around 20-ish calories for a 16 oz coffee. Not too bad. The unsweetened almond milk is 30 calories per cup, so even if you use a lot of…
  • I was put on Metformin for blood sugar levels early on in my journey. It made it so some foods, on some days just made me about gag and every time I ate much by way of carbs, especially if I tried to eat pizza I'd be stuck to the toilet shortly after, so it altered the food choices I made for sure!
  • <---- I need to do a new one, but that's a few months ago now.
  • A little vintage Idaho Vandal love! Born and raised an Oregon Duck, season ticket holder since 1991, went to my first game before I was 1. Sat through the bad and the ugly and have enjoyed the ride recently! OOOOOO Graduated from the University of Idaho, rode some highs in 2009, dealt with awful lows last year and am…
