  • She may be feeling worried you will leave her. Seen many people get in shape because of the new hottie at work, then bye bye bye. My boyfriend made it very clear to me in January 2010 that he was worried about my new appreciation for vegetarianism, exercise and health. He was worried I'd leave him for someone more…
  • Its good, guys. Especially on a really hot day. This summer in going to try it in a cone :P I eat it with strawberries or frozen cherries thrown into the food processor with the bananas. Ive seen people add peanut butter. Never tasted it with pb though.
  • I feel similarly but about my sister. She is younger than me, shorter than me by 4-5" and outweighs me by about 13 pounds. She is sad and complains about it sometimes, but trying to help her out has never helped. I even offered her allowance a few years back if she walked 20 minutes a day on the treadmill, but she would do…
  • I am sorry for the hardships you've gone through with your mom. If you're not ready to cut her out (the pain you're obviously in tells me you shouldn't make that decision), maybe having appointment phone calls with her would be good for both of you. Creating a structured relationship. Like Thursdays, 7 pm for 15 minutes.…
  • Last summer my weight kept dropping simply because I vacuumed 5x a day, cleaned after everyone and took all the kids our for hours to play in the yard. I kept stepping on the scale and wondering what I was doing to keep losing!! It's gotten harder with a toddler. If I grab a broom he thinks I should be holding him (he…
  • Catcrazy's comment that you are likely on maintenance calories at the moment makes sense. I can't see your diary, but I would recommend looking at getting 7 vegetable servings (full servings, even double of the same items if you can, I try to eat 2x steamed cauliflower for example) or more a day, and shooting for a lot of…
  • I gained 14 pounds in one cycle. As soon as it wore off I started losing that weight. Will not take it again. Also my doc gave it to me in the hospital, and it hurt my ability to breastfeed. Nursing was excruciating and produced almost nothing until the cycle was done. Then, suddenly, after 3 months of failing my body…
  • Me too. Yesterday (Wednesday) I had 670 calories left, so I added in two extra things in case I can't sleep (sick) and still have 470 left. Vegetables just don't have a ton of calories, but I am not worried about it. I feed my body what it asks for.
  • I put lightly active. I play with the guys a ton, spend ~ 2 hours each day just cooking, nevermind the cleaning. In summer I may even bump it up with everyone off of school.
  • Was going to suggest this. Read the label- if it's something caloric they're stored in, then measure and deduct that amount. If it's water, the calories should be negligible. Like, -4 per serving. Just whatever bean material gets washed away. Beans have a good deal of calories. It's ok :)
  • We do this but without any extras, just frozen bananas and fruit in the food processor. Our favorite is big, dark sweet cherries. Mmmm! + A little dark chocolate. Looking forward to when it finally stops snowing here and gets WARM and we can make it again.
  • All of my life I hated breakfast, but sometime last year I became so excited about it I had a terrible time deciding each day what to have : P I LOVE to eat chocolate malt o meal, with natural (even home made) peanut butter, an ounce of dark chocolate stirred in, a banana on the side and a cup of Bolthouse Farms Perfectly…
  • Yes ;) Men want different things. Just like you may have friends married to or dating guys you could take or leave. They're individuals looking (hopefully) for other individuals. mine prefers stick thin women, but that's his too bad. He fell in love with me, who fluxes between chubby and athletic. I know I'm not his type,…
  • Wow, judging that picture I would say you were a 4-6. You look very nice. Congratulations on 40 :)
  • From my boyfriends 12 years I learned That you don't want to be the complainer guy :p apparently that's the guy/girl that makes it easier for everyone else. I personally got myself down to the army pt requirement time doing intervals. I'd walk 2 minutes and run 1 at paces set to get me under the time (I don't remember what…
  • Ive been using a tiny bit of coconut oil. It's solid, so just a dab on a warming pan can be spread all around to keep sticking and burning to a minimum, and I really love the taste.
  • Yessss!!! Xylitol. It's awesome, fewer calories, real (though I would try to get a birch tree sourced one if possible). But yes it causes I believe a hypoglycemic effect in dogs that is severe and can be fatal. I have two big beautiful dogs and keep it out of their reach and clean any spills. I think it warns on the…
  • It happened to me, so after two months and still having 4 if the 7 gained pounds hanging around I'm trying to shake things up. Also have been putting a lot of focus on my fitness improvements and nutrition goals. The scale is part of it, but I also aim for 9+ fruits and vegetables each day and have been able to run a bit…
  • You just rocked my world. I thought it was a 60 minute workout, and I can only usually manage 30 minutes for a work out (plus stretching time, setting up netflix on netbook, (workout here), cool down dressing 'out' time, showering and redressing time) because I don't get that much time 'away' from my son. I really want to…
  • Ahhh thank you!
  • Yes, definitely can. I was finally on a 28 day cycle for the first time in my life after the birth of my son, but this month I was two days late. Not fun!
  • I only ever got crap because I would do 4-5 miles in the morning, then be a zombie at work. I couldn't seem to eat enough to stay awake and had been an over achiever until I decided to get back in shape. Otherwise I instead now get crap from other healthy livers- I don't work out hard enough, omg you tasted jacks burger…
  • Our biggest argument is WHO HAS TO GO TO SLEEP FIRST!!! I'm a light sleeper, and if he stays up he gets up 20 times, blares the tv etc. I've tried explaining to him that since I like the fan on and the tv super quiet with the lights off, and he likes lights on, fan off, tv loud to fall asleep he has to sleep first. How can…
  • Try finding something else to "do". Just watching tv or something that doesn't use your hands often leads to snacking. I do puzzles and knit, or go out for light biking or walking. Even if I don't burn a zillion calories at the park at least in those three hours I'm not eating!!
  • Hehehe!!! My son will get down to do push ups etc when he sees anyone else do so (he's 18/mo, pretty funny) but my big fat dogs (really they are super fit and "ripped" despite laying around 90% of the time) jump on me, lick my face, stand on my stomach! The small one is a 53lb pit bull :) they're so dumb- I mean cute!…
  • Hi :) you can add me if you like, I'm 26 with an 18 month old son ++ 2 step sons. I can definitely use all the support I can get! I'm happy to reciprocate.
  • If you're hungry, eat, if it's anything else take a warm bath, do your nails, work a puzzle, take up knitting. Knitting in the evenings keeps my hands too busy for snacks. And come next winter it will help keep my family warm.
  • Add friends and post a lot. :) you can add me!
