It won't work quite like that, but if you are managing your diet (which I'm assuming you are since you're here) and continuing to do weight training, the training will simultaneously burn calories and speed up your metabolism. So, yeah, eventually your stomach will be "tighter" but because of fat loss, not muscle gain.

my previously muscular butt has sadly deflated due to low resistance cardio and lack of weight training

well if you make comments like "i'm fat, i'm fat, i'm fat" nobody you love is going to say "i know! ugh you are so fat!" nobody wants you to feel bad about yourself. and honestly, you really shouldn't. you have to accept yourself at whatever weight you're at, even if you understand you should lose some. if i were you, and…

here's mine! sorry for undies! it took me around 7 months of very careful eating and cardio/strength training at the gym about 3-4 days a week. i still have a ways to go as you can see, but yay 50 down! my biggest tip is to drink a ton of water and have a high protein intake. the days i had a bunch of protein, i saw way…

i think the whole connotation of this article is terrible, because it's great to go on walks and do little things throughout the day to remain active. sure, it might not be a full-blown shredding pain-bowl workout followed up by a monster protein shake, but there's nothing wrong with going on walks that fit your schedule.…

this exact thing use to happen to me all the time... that would be the main reason why i'd stop the workout - my feet were in pain! i realized my shoes were probably past their expiration date, so i got me a new pair of nike trainers and it hasn't been a problem since.

this question cannot be answered by number, but by how badly the house smells!

what a kickass mama! she looks so good!

late-night-after-dinner-sneaking-eating. that was my whole childhood. sneaking into the kitchen late at night, procuring some sort of lavish and ridiculously unhealthy snack, and scurrying back to my room like a weird little animal.
-
aw yeah, did both of those at the gym tonight. hooray for progress and *kitten*-building~

i am fairly new to it. i'm at least past the intimidation stage and can strut into the man-infested weight room with some confidence. i do sometimes feel a little lost and like i need a better plan, so thanks for the tip! and about the gaining muscle eating over maintenance: as you can see, i still have a lot of weight i…

it's not stupid to feel self conscious about this kind of thing - as a matter of fact, remember this feeling! because once you start going to the gym and working out like a beast and gaining confidence, you're gonna feel so silly that you were ever nervous, and so proud of yourself for overcoming it. i remember being at…

you guys are INCREDIBLE! how awesome to be able to do that together! so inspirational!

i concur! everything in moderation. eat the most delicious chips you crave the most and love every bite! things taste so much better when you don't have them as often. (example: i went to tacobell for the first time in maybe a year last night... it was like food of the gods)

i'm annoyed right now because my workout-buddy has a "sore wrist" so he won't go to the gym with me. you can do so much without even utilizing your wrist in the slightest! extra annoyed because i'm paying for his membership. :|

i had mine open from the day i started logging until about a week ago. i used to be kick-*kitten* at eating healthily, but then i started to fudge up a little bit. i started to overeat and have a plethora of weird and bad foods, then i'd be ashamed and not log those things, or just "quick-calorie" log them. i realized i…

when i was a freshman in highschool! i have loved him ever since. 6 years later, with much persistence and perseverance, and he's finally all mine. muahaha

right now i just mostly play team fortress 2.. which is totally casual gaming but it's so fun, so easy, and i'm awesome at it  . ironically, i play it to get my mind off of the every day stresses of school... in which i study game art.

oh jesus i laughed hard

i live in a beach town in orange county of southern california, and being as pale as i am definitely makes me sometimes stand out amongst so many pretty tan people, especially when i walk around in a dress and blind everyone with the bright white of my legs. but you know, the dermatologists applaud my "efforts" (ha!) at…

thanks for the tips guys! i'm about to scour your diaries right now! :)

typing! when i was 11 i could already go 130 wpm. my teachers were always really frustrated that i could outdo them... now it's not as insane to be such a fast typist, but i still pride myself on it just a little bit  that's the skill i get for growing up on the internet edit: oh, i thought the title was asking what…

It's a trusty little Lanikai! And I've been wanting to invest in a banjolele now for quite some time... (or a tiple, but I can't seem to get my hands on one!) Love the uke! now that you're so fit, do you want to be the very best? like no one ever was?

That is so adorable. I will definitely need to be seeing photos of that. It almost makes me wish I could walk my rats.. You can do anything if you believe in yourself

difference of around 35ish pounds at that point, i believe. and about 40ish right there. the cheeks have definitely de-puffed a bit, haha. you are all so amazing by the way! constant source of inspiration around here!

oh, this makes me miss riding so badly! i had a beautiful bay arab gelding years ago and we did dressage together, but owning a horse got too time (and money!) consuming. i grew up with horses since i was 7 and abruptly stopped when it became too much responsibility, and i miss it every time i think about it. enjoy your…
