hah my bad, confused this with another thread - here you go: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

is this what it looked like when you guys stomped me? because it's hilarious. of course 5-2 is a fad.
-
the two sides are saying the same thing, you have to do both. You eat fewer calories than your Total Daily Energy Expenditure to lose weight. However, if you eat too little, that will also negatively impact your fat loss as it will cause your body to store extra fat. So it's all about finding the happy medium. Try the…

Right Snowflake People: There are no special snowflakes, everyone's the same except for the ways in which they're different Everyone Else: We agree with the snowflake people in that everyone is different, we just saved a lot of time and yelling and skipped the first part.

no, because MFP's goal number for you is your NET calories after exercise. to hit that number you have to eat back the cals you burn at the gym.
-
you're not losing because you're not eating enough. If you're burning 700 a day, eat them back. I'm certain your BMR (base metabolic rate) is higher than 1200 (probably around 1400, though we can't know without your height/weight/age). use this calculator to figure it out: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

so you're saying there is no recomposition going on? seems doubtful.
-
nobody actually believes what you said - and if there are people who do, they're misguided and misinformed (including this trainer). you - however - are just making things up to bash a way of eating you disagree with.
-
in other words, the standard .7g-1g of protein per pound of LBM is exactly right. this also shows that ain't nobody needs 300g of protein daily.

Yep, I've been saying "screw math" ever since I decided to be an actor way back in high school, so that shouldn't be a problem. But thanks for the info, threw together a 930 cal shake this morning that definitely didn't go down like 930 calories so that was nice. That'll probably be my new routine since I can chug…

Nah, doesn't quite work that way for me. I can do even 3500 consistently (I did for about 6 months) and still only have a 6-8lb increase in that time. honestly I can't decide for myself whether that's a good amount or not... lol but what I do know is it means that MFP has no clue how calories affect my body, since it…

Not me, my protein macro is only about 20% - since it's based off actual grams needed instead of an arbitrary ratio. I think I'm gonna just do a big shake right when I get up and go from there. Appreciate the feedback and advice.

Really?
-
indeed

i'm not going to argue with you, but canned veggies lose many of their nutrients vs their fresh counterparts. you can do the research if you'd like.
-
thats the kicker, good for you. i dont eat 100% clean and don't think anyone should because it's really not sustainable, but I subscribe to the 80/20 or even 90/10 rule of thumb - 80-90% cal from whole foods and the rest can be whatever. That way I'm getting my proper nutrition but I'm not killing myself about it. feel…
-
haha sounds like you pretty much just described me. :P thanks!
-
genetic, my mom and grandfather are/were both genetically thin respectively.
-
yep, that must be it. or maybe it's the fact that the veggies most likely come from a can. who knows?
-
well in that case drink away!
-
they're fine, but if you're getting 'em from a cafeteria they probably have far fewer nutrients left than fresh veggies would, but don't freak out about it. and are you really from New York, North Carolina? Because I've never heard of such a place.
-
**** my bad dude. EDIT: fixed it for you.
-
And I've missed the people on here I actually learned things from, even when we disagreed... you know... people like Side Steel. :drinker:
-
hahaha i've had plenty of pop tarts, and I'd agree with taunto that while they're tasty, they hardly qualify as "amazing" however, ben+jerry's and the ****in' home made cookies I can get at the local bodega? dude. DUDE. And one pop tart is only 200 cal, I'ma need way more than one.

Fortunately I don't actually have much of a love for cardio, so that works out. As for 2 and 3, you're right in that I need to figure out what's important to me - balancing ease and convenience with nutrition and caloric intake. Obviously you know where I stand in terms of nutrition, and I'm not going to ever go the…
-
surely you jest.
-
fair, and no I wasn't referring to your post as harassment, though I did quote it - my bad there. my whole thing in all of this is why does the OP have to get harassed to such an extent for asking a simple question that could've been answered without everyone piling on and throwing their favorite .gifs and memes on board?…
-
but if you're gonna blend it anyway, why not just get ... mangoes... ? way cheaper.
-
typically one heavier cardio day, and if I do a second it's usually a bit lighter, but yeah I hear ya on food density, but when you're aiming for 4000 cal you just pretty much have to be eating all the time. lol
