Band crowd and crew (rowing) crowd. So, generally the kids whose parents were well off and pushed them to do "preppie" activities.

I'm five foot 2 and 3/4. I weigh between 114-117 during the week - it's constantly fluctuating and I don't really care. I have not changed weight much (only lost about 10 lbs - highest weight 125) but am now more of an "athletic build" than before when I was in high school (108 average senior year).

For those of you who are upset at Rhianna, know that the perpetrators are most dangerous when the victims are trying to leave the relationship. The victims are often so scared that they have no where to turn. A trained professional can help a victim of DV find shelter and file a restraining order quickly, as well as go…

I have worked with both the victims of DV and the perpetrators. Luckily, Rhianna was able to get out of this relationship with the help of her family and friends. She has moved on and is no longer in the abusive relationship. If Chris Brown took his 52 week mandated classes, I hope he has learned that he cannot control…

I generally don't eat much before I run - but my longest run is a 10K. However, when I do eat before it's generally carbs and after I try and eat/drink protein.

Silly question - because I don't really know. But, don't you have to put information into the heart rate monitor - ie, age, weight, etc. to have it be accurate? If so, then did you change the information to his stats? I guess the heart rate would still be accurate, but maybe not the calories burned? I have a low heart rate…

I prefer the black dress (but my dresses are also 80% black).

I had fresh shrimp spring rolls (not fried) and a kids Z Bar (I tried it for a client of mine). Overall, about 400 calories and filling!

I kiss my pet on the head. She's a cat and though she's cuddly, I wouldn't say she hugs. When was the last time you tried something new?

Yes, keep at it. We have a guy in our class who only does spinning for exercise (due to surgeries and injuries). He's lost 40 pounds in about 6 months. I think he's changed his eating habits as well. Also, one of our teachers was written about in People magazine's 1/2 your size issue. She lost 200 pounds and I know…

5 foot 2.75 inches and 115 pounds.... I'm working on toning (would love to tone up my glutes & hamstrings - due to two knee surgeries).
-
I've had two knee surgeries and find that spinning (cycling) is the best cardio exercise with minimal stress on my knees. Are you taking a day off each week? Do you stretch? Have you been fitted for the correct shoes?
-
I love the social interactions at the gym. I don't do the cardio machines - just the classes. I like spinning, circuit training (boot camp), Kickboxing, Step aerobics, bar class, etc. I work harder at the gym!!!

Have you looked into Seasonal Affective Disorder? It's episodes of depression that occur at a certain time of the year, usually during winter. Taking long walks during the daylight hours and getting exercise can make the symptoms better. Keep active socially, even if it involves some effort. Light therapy using a special…

There are some good videos out there. I know all of the muscles, tendons, etc. are connected, but the IT band is the one that seems to really affect me. I'm going to focus on keeping my knees aligned when doing squats and also working to not throw my hip out when I run. Let's see if that lessens the pain! Thanks!
-
hmmmmmm....what type of knee injury do you have??? It sounds so similar to mine. I also had quad weakness, in addition to glute weakness. I also have a lot of tightness in both knees.
-
Oh yeah - it hurts soooooooooo bad! When I first started doing it I would be ever more sore after rolling out my IT band - but it eventually got better. What is IT Band Syndrome? My left IT band is more sore than my right, but I've had two knee surgeries on the left knee and have an allograft ACL.
-
KBGirts - how does IT band tightness affect other muscles/areas? Is it also in your hips?
-
Could you be thirsty instead of hungry? Maybe put a glass of water by your bed and have a few sips when you get the craving. My husband is a night snacker and I am trying to get him to switch to snap peas. They have a great flavor and a nice crunch!

Try the white fish. However, I think the "fishy" taste is also related to freshness. - Cod - Tilapia - Halibut My favorite is probably pan seared tuna. I also like Mahi Mahi..... It's all in how it's prepared and cooked. Now at 7:50am I'm hungry for some fish :)

My husband's a musician and needed female vocals for a song - so I volunteered. Now my voice is on tv.....

I tried Zumba a few times but didn't think I got the same intense cardio workout as spinning or circuit training. I'm uncoordinated and that may be why I didn't feel the same burn. But, to each his own. And yes, there are people of different shapes, sizes, backgrounds, etc.!
-
My husband calls it "hangry" and yes I do get it!! :)

I've done the 1200 calorie thing and I can't maintain it. I workout 5-6 days a week (cardio & circuit training) and need to eat more (1400 is probably best for me.) I agree with the others, it's not about the wedding day and what you look like. It's about how you feel and the marriage you have in front of you. But, I do…

It goes to prove that it's about your shape - I'm the same height 5 foot 2.5 inches and weigh 115 and wear a size 4 short.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also lost a friend from high school (while we were in college) during a skiing accident. Sarah is leaving an amazing legacy for women skiers......

Dreams do come true! Nice work!!!
