READ MY SOLUTION, a few threads up, in response to YOUR thread. I think I summed it up perfectly, to be honest. Here it is again, as a reminder. I have SEVERAL suggestions. PARENTS. Parents should be teaching their children from the very beginning how to eat properly. They should be providing them with healthy food…

This is why I hate public gyms. There are always people like these girls who feel it is their right to judge you for your looks and workout routine. Who needs that kind of attitude from people? I get enough psychological bashing just by looking in the mirror. And I'm working on that. If you want some positive gym…

Correction - I've BEEN to the wrong gym. That's why I workout at home. Around here, it's either that kind of gym, or one that smells so bad from the workout sweat hanging in the air, that I feel the need to scrub my lungs when I get home.

I blame the food industry -- specifically the restaurant industry -- for changing "acceptable" portion sizes. It used to be that a "regular" serving of pop was 8 oz. Now, the "normal" expectation is 20 ozs. The regular dinner plate used to be 6" in circumference, now it is 9". A fancy restaurant used to give you reasonable…

I have SEVERAL suggestions. PARENTS. Parents should be teaching their children from the very beginning how to eat properly. They should be providing them with healthy food choices, OR severely restricting the poor food choices. Parents should cook more at home instead of running out to pick up fast food 3-5 times a week.…

I agree. Honestly, the thought of me going to a gym to workout is ridiculous. There is so much preening and strutting around by a bunch of people who go there more to be seen and admired by others, than just for an honest, sweat pouring workout. Some gyms are nothing more than glorified pick up joints. BLECH. PS: NOT…

Lemme see.... Do I pay my bills....or pay for a superfluous gym membership when I can work out at home for free???? I'll take the gym membership, because THAT makes more sense.

Hi there. I thought I'd add my two cents here. I want a firmer, higher butt and toned legs, too. I do a variety of leg/butt exercises for this. Do you have stairs in your house or nearby? Try adding a stair climbing exercise into your routine. Once or twice a week, I will climb my stairs for 30 minutes at a time. I just…

My mom was heavy for her height. She also was a heavy smoker. Somehow, only one of us six kids ended up with a weight problem in our teens-- my brother. He was a chubby, overeating baby and grew into a chubby, adolescent and teen. He got teased and bullied a lot for it (looking back, it was wrong of my dad and my brothers…

My husband is about 60 lbs overweight. He's an ex smoker and there is cancer and heart disease in his family. His mother died of cancer, his uncle had a heart attack, his cousin dropped dead at 59 from a heart attack while line dancing. Do I have a right to be worried about his health? YES. Do I have the right to harass…

You are "German Shaming"! And as a German, I am offended by your statement.

I'm no expert, but I bet he is doing an anaerobic workout on the treadmill. Hockey players do a lot of anaerobic training to condition them for the short bursts of speed they need to generate on the ice. Their workout programs switch between aerobic and anaerobic activities. As for belonging to a gym, I can't afford a gym…

OP, you have a great body shape! I'm long and lean, and more a fan of cardio exercises than anything else. However, I've recently started adding more leg and glute exercises, because I want shapelier calves, hips and butt. I have grown fond of stair climbing, and even boosted my stair workout to "every other step". Tonight…

Me too, because I still to this day believe she was killed by her own government. We will never be able to prove it, but I cannot accept the whole "paparazzi accidental car crash" theory. Her "body guard" allowed her to get into a car driven by a man who had been drinking heavily. What body guard allows that???? She was…

I think the bride needs to worry more about what it takes to make her marriage work for the long haul, than what her bridal party happens to look like for ONE day. It seems that brides spend more time on the little details of a day long event, and forget that after the guests are gone, the wine has been drunk and the cash…

While I've never actually tried to squat to poop, I've certainly tried to squat while trying to write my name in the snow. My first name is Carolyn. My thighs went into vapor lock on the upswing of the letter "l", so I ended up toppling over into the snow, getting a slight case of frost bite in a very private area.…

Is it a cheat day if you put in a really high cal burn in the morning, and have almost 1800 calories left by dinner, of which half of those go to ice cream? Cuz if it is, then call me a cheater.

Unstuck? Did you mean you drink copious amounts of wine? I don't know this expression. Wine in small amounts is good for your heart and gives you some great tannins and antioxidant properties (RED wine). However, if you're drinking a LOT of wine, my advice would be to work on stopping the excessive drinking first, before…

Yes. You get it from McDonald's, Burger King, Arby's, Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and bacon. Oh wait -- NOT bacon. Bacon has a natural fat blocker.

I don't go to bars often, but when I do, I dress to make myself feel pretty. I don't wear the FMPs, or the low tops, shorty shorts, etc. Everything is covered. Nor do I tease. I just happen to be a fun person to be around, and I enjoy dancing. When I'm out with my girlfriends, I'm the "crazy" one in the crowd. If men ogle…

The comparisons are there to remind people of the hypocrisy of human behavior. Anyone who complains about their spouse "ogling other women", while they are dressing up, going out and getting ogled by men in bars, is a hypocrite. Anyone who says they don't "fat/body shame", then go onto a bang thread and make comments about…

The problem I have on here about the "bang, pass, date" threads" has everything to do with the whole "judging" issue. People are looking at people's profile pics and making decisions about what they'd "do" to that person solely on how they look. Is this right? No. Fair? No. It's shallow and doesn't help the psyche of…
