This is exactly why I have never done well with having a 'gym buddy'. It's so easy to slip into synch with them, which is great if they're doing well and pushing you further, but if they lose interest it makes an excuse for you. I wouldn't recommend relying on anyone else to do this with you it is such a personal thing…

Yes I get this quite a lot, common symptom of mild anxiety, which could be just something that is going on in your life right now that is unresolved or whatever. Times I get it most are when I have loads of things I need to do/haven't done yet, worries about money or kids, someone in the family having troubles, whatever.…

Wow I can't believe I did it! I was 68.2 last Sun 20th May, now I'm 67 kilos Sun 27th May. This is amazing, and it's great news as it means upping my calories from 1200 to 1400 has worked for me!! Very happy with that. :) This is the second week I've been on higher caloroes and it seems to be speeding up my weight loss.…

As it's the weekend today my breakfast was massive - kept me feeling full way up to lunch and I went for a long walk with my kids (I'm on UK time we're 5 hours ahead of ET) - all for 314 cals - check out my diary - it was yum! (If you eat meat).

Maybe you could ask the restaurant, not for a complete nutritional breakdown obviously, but the chef's estimate of ingredients and quantities. If you're planning on using the restaurant regularly this would definitely be worth the trouble. They might be happy to email the details to you, which would be even better.

So far since starting this I've only ever lost under 1lb in a week. I'll have to really step up my game to do this - why not I'll see if I can do it!

Go to check-in. It will tell you the weight you last logged, and the date you logged it. Then you can put in your new weight. If you want to track your weight loss over a period of time, go to Reports>Progress.

I usually count a pint glass of water as 3 cups but it could probably be 4 if it was full right up.

I was given a Kindle for mother's day last year (like you, I was sceptical) but it was just so easy, eg. standing up on the subway and reading one handed, I took to it immediately. I really don't think they are any good for magazines, newspapers, cookbooks and so on because I like to see the actual layout with the pictures…

Feel free to look at mine - although it might not be that useful to you as I also do a lot of my own recipes. Also I don't really seem to be losing weight so I must be doing something wrong! Actually; probably a bad idea to look at mine for ideas! He he

I hope people don't get put off contributing their thoughts because they fear their words will instantly be picked apart by the grammar vultures. Your opinion is still as valid if your written English is imperfect, and I still want to read it!

I'm a stay at home Mum and have 2 dogs, active little boys and a big messy house. I would never deream of logging cleaning, laundry, dog walking (unless running for 30 mins or more) or even sanding or painting or whatever other DIY jobs I might occasionally have. I know it can be weird when you hit late teens/early 20's and your body changes. The same happened to me, and I went from being able to eat absolutely anything and never putting on weight, to noticing things changing in my shape. Probably due to a few things; Hormones, Growth slowing down, Start drinking alcohol?…

When you reach your goal weight; take yourself on a shopping spree for new clothes. Then, helpfully give your old 'too big' clothes to her, as they will now 'fit her better than you'. She'll love it! : )
