This sort of mentality really bugs me too, adoption isn't "rescuing" a kid like they're a stray dog. I wanted to adopt because we wanted a child, I wasn't doing it to be heroic, but there were a million roadblocks and it's not as black and white as everyone seems to think. Yes it's true there are no guarantees either way,…

EXACTLY. While it is incredibly admirable and wonderful that people are willing to take special needs children into their hearts and homes, it's not fair that people who can't conceive naturally are expected to do so, and that if they want to try and have their own instead of adopting they're somehow "selfish". My husband…
-
Interesting...so then who decides whether or not it's "supposed" to happen? Is that the same person that decides when a crackwh*re living on the street is "supposed" to have her fifth baby, which she may or may not leave in a dumpster?
-
Exactly.
-
Also this.
-
Because it's rude, and ignorant. Why don't YOU adopt some babies if you feel so strongly about it? Why should infertile people be chastised for wanting biological babies, and doing what they have to do to try and get them?
-
I agree with this. I hope things work out for you, I know what infertility is like and I hope you have better success than I did. Good luck!

Uh...am I reading this wrong, or are you saying that you're giving your 11 year old granddaughter diet pills?? Did anyone else catch that? I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading on this thread, this is obviously such a scam...as someone else pointed out, the most glowing reviews are being written by people who have…

I completely agree with this. It's absolutely true that when a person is depressed enough they lose the will to help themselves, and it's not stubbornness or just wanting to get attention or whatever, it's because they are sick. If a person was physically ill, would you say "geez your (cancer, stroke, etc) is really…

Is it Montreal Steak Spice? That stuff makes everything better, and is very tasty on salmon particularly.

This was my thought too...I also get driving anxiety, but I don't think I'd classify it as "exercise" lol

  funny he never came back to provide any clarification of his qualifications lol it's almost like he was just pulling it all out of his *kitten* or something. Oh wait, that's exactly what he was doing.

For what it's worth I know what you're getting at...for me, a lot of the reason I didn't end up practicing social work is because I didn't feel mentally healthy enough to be advising other people on how to become mentally healthy. I wanted to help people with their suffering because I had experienced suffering, but school…
-
I can completely relate to this. I also have a degree in social work but have never practiced because well...I have social anxiety and fear people. Not very well planned on my part. I can relate to a lot of what you're saying, I hope you find the help you need and get better!

I used to hate dark chocolate but made myself develop a taste for it several years ago, now that I love it, when I try to eat something that's milk chocolate or like "chocolate flavoured confection" it just tastes like sweet wax to me lol even stuff I used to love. I've never eaten a lot of rich foods though because they…

"Thus the practical and realistic aim is compassion, a warm heart, serving other people, helping others, respecting others, being less selfish. By practising these, you can gain benefit and happiness that remain longer. If you investigate the purpose of life and, with the motivation that results from this inquiry, develop…

LMFAO what does that have to do with anything?? I have a university education and live in a major city and I've never heard these terms because I don't care about this crap and therefore don't seek out information about it. And having a fancy watch doesn't make you smart or sophisticated, LOL it just means you didn't have…

All of this ^

lol to get to work, to bring groceries home, how is that even remotely the same thing? Not trying to be argumentative, but I don't see the similarity between a gun and a car  I can function quite well in my everyday life without a gun, but in a big city it's pretty hard to get around without a car.
-
I can completely relate, and am finally just starting to turn my thinking around and try things I'd thought I never would. High five to you! You figured it out a lot earlier in life than I did, haha
-
Yeah that'd be fun, or a high-powered water gun, I can't imagine ever needing to buy an actual gun under any circumstances since I'm not a hunter, but then I live in Canada as well and I think we have different views on guns up here in general lol. I did used to have a nice slingshot and was a pretty good shot with it, but…
