A good game of full court basketball. Snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

How about HOT DAMN! nice.

My heart goes out to you, and your children. You made the (right) choice by leaving your former husband to protect your children from the abuse that he obviously learned from his own mother. While it might seem like the "right thing to do" allowing your children to see her once a year on Christmas, if this is the treatment…

Those are some nice abs Acg67! Take his advise -- diet is 95% of it -- for the other 5% try Pilates. If you are looking to really change your diet read "wheat belly" -- makes a correlation between wheat products, belly fat, as well as women and hormones. I dont' follow that diet --- and I don't have nice abs either!

"Super Vitamin Juice" as my 7 year old calls it: 2 Oranges 1 Apple 2 Carrots this is a favorite with my kids -- the proportion above makes about 2 cups.... cures any cold!

Everyone has different levels of discretionary income -- the "guide" that is used for lending is around a max 40% of your GROSS income for debt (house, car, student loans, credit cards) -- the rest is for your taxes, savings, groceries, gas, etc and "other" --- In MY case, I have to keep my debt at 25% or there is no money…

4 feet of snow -- -SNOWSHOE or CROSS COUNTRY SKI! Seriously give them a thought - they are super total body workouts. But if you want to stick to running - do what the others do. Also -- don't forget the pup -- buy "boots" for him or he will be stopping often to get the snow out of the paws. We even have a neoprene vest…

I have the same issue -- I love outdoors, even in the winter, but I dont' live in town, so unless a full moon with snow on the ground, I have to stay indoors. I have a treadmill and elliptical ,,,but get bored, so found that if I do 10-15 minutes, then break to do some pilates -- it really helps to make it better.... late…

What amazes me is the different sizes that these weights are! I look at the 170ish girls in a size 6 or 8, and they really LOOK like a 6 or 8......and look AWESOME. I am 5'10" and was a size 12 at 175, my lowest since my sports playing college days, and I certainly looked nothing like that! CRAZY. congrats to all you…

My favorite: saute fresh mushrooms and peppers (red , green, whatever your pleasure) in a pat of butter and a sprinkle of worchestersire sauce. Scramble them in with 2 egg whites, 1 whole egg and a small amount of shreded cheese. VERY filling, and the protien will help you throughout the day. I just bought a tupperware…

... or remember when they had the mini-beanie babies in the happy meals? I went there DAILY to try and get a specifi one for my nieces and nehpews... that was "pre-kids" when I could eat what I want with no regard for what I'd look like in 5 years! LOL -- what reels us in! I haven't had McDonalds in a long time....thank…

Super job!

Has helped A LOT! I've always known logging food is a key sucess to sustained weight loss -- but I hated guessing my calories (obviously I underestimated!). This site and the forums has taught me a lot! when I need motivation, advice, anything - my friends and forums are always there! MFP was the turning point in my 15…

You look absolutely amazing! Enjoy your many many years with your healthy body!

LOL -- my coworker (also my MFP buddy) and I, laugh every day when the other gals make their "shakes" in the morning. . . then go for a walk on their morning break, and out to mcdonalds or chinese at least 3 days a week. Sad, frustrating, but none of my business none-the-less. Maybe it is their fiber shake to keep them…

Chin up! You have lost weight - and better it to come off slowly and stay off! There are plenty of days I am not motivated - a couple things that helps me: * I put on my workout clothes, tennis shoes and ipod and just listen to the music -- it usually gets me moving. * Try a new exercise * Challenge a friend (either…

So much for saying "find somebody's dog to run with"! Maybe a couple dogs? I have 3 big dogs - and when I go out walking and running - one will ALWAYS stay at my side - they do this on their own, I have never made them stay by me, while the other two "hunt" in the ditches and fields (I don't live in town)....last week they…

Wow this is great a great post -- and makes more sense than anything else I have seen here. Your body is proof!
-
Sounds familiar - I was always the "fatty" among my friends -- I was in sports or working out all the time. But also eating too much fast food and drinking too many calories (but is was fun!). Hmm, 5 kids later I'd LOVE to be the size I was in college! Use your "busy" and "organizing" skils to your advantage - make a…

Welcome to committment! I will send you a friend request. I am a working mom with 5 kids - I feel your pain!
-
You are right about the nagging - don't give her a complex. Think about how you developed your habits, and would you have done anything different with a nagging mom? Just like adults, kids have different metabolism rates and activity levels -- my 12 year old hardly eats a thing, and my 9 year old has to eat every 2 hours…

I've been waiting for this post! Thanks for being such an inspiring friend! YOU ROCK!

I gained the most with my first (40), and the least with my last (18) . . . I lost all my preganancy weight after each child (I breastfed), but two years after my last one, i put it all on again (it was like my body said - ok,it has been two years, time to gain weight -- I had 5 kids, each two years or so apart).

sometimes it is hard to see ourselves as different, because we already have an image of we want to be.... beleive me, anyone who looks at the pictures sees the difference! You have done great! I hope you feel the difference and realize what a good improvement you have done to your body - it will thank you for many years to…

You look fabulous! Great reassurance to all those who think they can't do it!
-
Beautiful! I simply have no other words!

DON'T try and speed it along. Find your biggest struggle, and battle that one first. For years I thought more exercise would help me loose weight, and since I like to be active, it was easier to do --- well, more exercise meant I ate more, and also gave me the false hope that I could eat whatever I wanted because I…

Congratulations! What a great story of NSV's! You have a lot of special people in your life - so glad you are taking the time to take care of you - so you can enjoy them to the fullest! GREAT HABIT! and you daughters are beautiful!

Like everyone else said-- we all do it, and, you'll probably do it again. The big thing is, you realized it, and you are willing to admit it and ask for help. Now learn to move on and get back to it, and make it one day, not one week! I have the same problem with keeping sweets around...I"m good with some things, but…

INtresting about the "palate change" -- I would agree,,,, I used to hate all veggies, except corn, potatos and carrots,,, now those are the 3 veggies I rarely eat! I love most of them now. Peas and brussel sprouts I still don't care for however.
