2 hours and 30 mins! Fun times! I was training for a full marathon at the time.

My ten-year-old daughter asked to go for a run with me today because she had to miss her two school running club runs this week. So we ran 2.5 miles in 30 minutes and what makes me proud is knowing that she could have ran me into the ground today. ;) Clearly all the soccer she plays has helped her.

Not sure if you have access to a set of ropes at home or at your gym, but if so, I've recently started to do the occasional undulating rope workout. They make for a great HIIT workout and will have your heart rate elevated in no time at all. It's all with your arms. Here's a few videos from one of the companies that makes…

Once a week on Wednesdays.

I don't do one. If I want something or a particularly high cal meal, I have to work for it in the gym. That also allows me to eat said meal guilt free.

I love pizza, I couldn't do without it. We go out for pizza about every two weeks and I get my fill of pepperoni and mushroom on a whole wheat crust. Its a tonne of calories, but I bust my butt in the gym for a couple of hours at least doing weights and cardio to make it fit into my calorie goal. Its hard work, but the…

Each to their own, but in the majority of cases if I had to pick trashy or cute, I'd go with trashy.

Wow you look 10-15 years younger now. Great job.

First thing you need to do is start eating more, a lot more, you've got a couple of days of 700-800 calories only, while MFP is recommending you eat 1800. Assuming you've selected that you want to lose a lb a week, the 1800 is already reduced by 500 cal from your MFP maintenance level. I know MFPs recommendations are not…

Way to go! You are living proof that with a lot of hard work, dedication and tenacity people can accomplish their goals. Thanks for the story.

Don't worry about your time for your first one. Make sure you start the first couple of miles slow, you'll feel like you can go faster, but don't at that point. Lots of people get caught up in all the excitement of the start and all the people, the crowd, etc and go out well above pace and a few miles into and they're…

Yup, you're right such situations are very difficult and very tempting. I know sometimes I can say no in such situations, however, sometimes I can't and at the same time I want to partake, but in moderation. Congratulations on your 60 lbs. If you've incorporated exercise into your weight loss read on, and if you haven't…

Personally I'm not a fan of the elliptical because I find the elliptical motion unnatural. Instead if I want a low-impact cardio workout I use the Arc Trainer; it's a similar concept to an elliptical but the Arc Trainer provides a much smoother and natural motion I find. As for the step mill, I really like that too, but it…

Awesome, lots of inspiration.

Agree w/ Ethan.... Especially your face.

As others have said, hills, intervals, and add some longer runs to your program and you'll get faster over 3 miles.

I drink tap water, but Figi water does taste great, or maybe it's non-taste is why it's great.

Absolutely amazing, what a transformation! I'm sure you are very proud of your achievement. That's a whole lot of dedication and mental toughness. Good job.

From a guy perspective, this is pretty bang on. Ask him what's up, and don't take any B.S. and don't accept any games, life's too short for that. If he's into you, you'll know it, by what you've typed, I'm sensing he's not, but whatever find out. I'm in a relationship now, but when I was dating, if I was interested in…

I had a similar problem when I started out. I hopped on the TM and all I could walk for was 5 Minutes and the pain in my lower back was too much to continue. I can say now with certainty my back pain was caused by the extra weight I was carrying and my spine and supporting muscles crying out in pain! 5 min is fine to…
