welcome kdao! weighed in mid week this week and only lossed 0.5lbs so far. I know that's not bad for only 4 days but for a competition and for cutting out meat I feel like it should be a little more. *sigh. Oh well, I'll take any loss. :-)

I didn't receive a ton a compliments though which is always discouraging. *sigh. When i make dinner for other people I like them to be blown away. *sigh again. Oh well,…

Ok, so my mom and I just made a new recipe today from the cookbook "easy vegan: simple recipes for healthy eating". It was a butternut squash with pistou sauce that was AMAZING! You take 2 butternut squashes, combine 6T extra virgin olive oil, 4 garlic cloves, and a large handful of fresh basil leaves in a food processor…

Jenna423 - my friend JUST let me borrow The Kind Diet! She called it the Vegan Bible, haha. I'm excited to read it. :-) I was looking through some of the recipes and there were recipes where I literally had never heard of a single one of the ingredients. *sigh So we'll see how that portion of the book goes. I was thinking…

I decided this week that I would like to become a vegan. Today will be my first full day of no meat. :-) I am gradually cutting things out of my diet so that I can get used to the lifestyle change and not give up. Any advice would be much appreciated! Add me as a friend!

I just realized that we haven't been doing weekly weigh ins on our forum! I weighed in today at 156.6 which is 4lbs down this week for a total loss of 53.4lbs since having baby ayden. Planning on measuring myself today too since I haven't done that in a few months.

Money prize :-) Right now the pot is $420 if everyone stays in the competition. :-)
-
That's true, it's all worth it. I did sign up for the competition. It's a 3 month competition. First weigh in is Thursday so we shall see how much damage I've done. haha

*sigh, I just typed a whole message out and got side tracked and clicked on something else and lost the whole response. *sigh, I hate it when that happens! Anyhow. I haven't been back to the gym since hubby and I separated. I LOVE my gym: 3 floors, a womens only level so you don't have to work out around men, tons of…

try changing the batteries in your scale

I have a treadmill at home too, so I could use that instead of going to the gym on the days I work. I was thinking that maybe if I took the extra time to sit in the sauna or hot tub after my work out at the gym that it might relax me enough to allow me to sleep when I get back.

yeah I started calculating 500 calories as well and just monitor it, if I stop losing or start gaining I'll reduce the amount. Every body might be different in the energy it uses to produce milk, and every baby eats a different amount so there's no firm amount you can go by

SOrry I have been MIA for so long! My hsuband and I seperated and I needed a break emotionally. I haven't been counting calories or weighing myself, just trying to be farely healthy. I'm back now though and ready to continue on. My current goal is to lose 13lbs in order to get into my normal BMI range. :-) My work just…

Ok seriously people! I have got to continue this. My stress level has been too high with all the craziness going on so I haven't been exercising or worrying about what I'm feeding myself. I've lost 46lbs so far since giving birth and know that I can be disciplined enough to keep going! Exercise is a great stress reliever…

First off I've NEVER heard of a false positive test. False negative - yes - but the test won't show positive unless your body is producing enough of the hormone ,,, and your body won't have that much hormone unless your preggo :-) ALTHOUGH, I have heard many women wait until they have their first ultrasound to be sure the…

hi ladies, sorry I've been MIA. I haven't been doing much with my diet. And haven't had time to go to the gym. :-( These past few weeks have been really really hard, and yesterday it all got worse. Randy was laid off. :-( So now along with being a single mom, stressed, busy, etc we're now really tight financially with lots…
